Il cammino delle Dolomiti

Il cammino delle Dolomiti

There are thirty stages of the “Dolomites Path,” thirty places to discover the most authentic dimension of these mountains, far beyond the experience of simple trekking.

The ring is inspired by the Camino de Santiago and is aimed at everyone, experienced hikers or not, with stages that can sometimes be demanding due to their length, but are easy and safe, favoring ancient mule tracks and mountain roads, amidst stunning natural scenery and small towns unknown to large tourist flows. The starting and ending point of the circular route is the ancient Sanctuary of Martyrs Vittore and Corona in Anzù di Feltre.

The itinerary then touches Feltre before climbing up to the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, crossing the Valbelluna, and reaching the Certosa di Vedana and the abandoned mines of Valle Imperina. And further Gares, Canale d’Agordo, Col di Lana, and the trenches of the First World War. The Camino is also an opportunity to rediscover, in a new version, well-known locations such as Cortina d’Ampezzo, Misurina, Auronzo di Cadore, Lorenzago di Cadore, a summer resort for the Popes, and Pieve di Cadore, the birthplace of the painter Titian.

Beautiful stretches wind through the green Comelico, with its typical “tabià,” to the springs of the Piave River, through Alpago and Nevegal. Each stage leaves unforgettable memories, connecting with a wonderful nature and admiring ancient testimonies such as monasteries, pieve, and small villages, some of which are now abandoned.
