A green heart nestled among the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site: the Belluno Dolomites National Park preserves an intact and astonishing natural universe. Over 31,000 hectares of forests, meadows, pastures, and rocky peaks rise from the gentle slopes of the Valbelluna up to 2,565 meters at Monte Schiara, the park’s highest peak.

Here, nature takes center stage. Chamois, deer, roe deer, wolves, wild cats, and birds of prey inhabit valleys that also host a unique flora, with rare and endemic species. It was precisely to preserve this extraordinary biodiversity that the park was established in 1990.

The territory encompasses iconic mountain groups such as the Alpi Feltrine, Monti del Sole, Schiara-Pelf, and Talvena, offering a mosaic of environments ranging from ancient forests to high-altitude pastures, from crystalline springs to the most daring rock walls. Walking along the trails, visitors encounter traces of ancient settlements, historical mining sites now open to exploration, active mountain huts, and remarkable architectures like the Certosa di Vedana.

Visiting the park means experiencing authentic moments in contact with a wild and silent nature, with unique routes such as the Alta Via Dolomiti Bellunesi.
