On Saturday, March 29, the play If You Have to Tell a Lie, Tell It Big! will take place as part of the National Amateur Theater Festival Paolo Dego at the Piccolo Teatro G. Pierobon in Paiane.

Combine Riccardo De Mitri, the “irreproachable” undersecretary of the ruling party; Natalia, his wife, seeking sensual attention and prey to repressed desires; Susanna, a lustful and flashy lover; with the addition of Teodoro, her husband and a broke actor; a pinch of Liliana, a determined and combative political opponent. Shake vigorously with Mario Girini, an awkward and clumsy aide. Serve the whole thing in the splendid setting of the Palace Hotel adorned with its upright director and two rather picturesque and nosy waiters. You will obtain an explosive cocktail that requires a few lies to be digested.
But remember: if you have to tell a lie… tell it big! The result will be a fast-paced comedy rich in fun during which paradoxical situations, twists, gags, misunderstandings, bickering, and surprises will fit together perfectly.
