The pilgrimage to Our Lady of Runal is a millennia-old tradition that takes place every year in the town of Farra d’Alpago. This sacred event, which occurs on September 7-8, is deeply felt by the local community and numerous devotees who come from all over to pay homage to the Madonna.

Our Lady of Runal is venerated in a small church located on top of a hill, from which one can enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley below. The pilgrimage begins with a long walk winding through mountain paths, offering participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in unspoiled nature and to enjoy the tranquility and spirituality of the place.

Once at the church, pilgrims participate in the mass celebrated in honor of Our Lady of Runal, during which prayers and songs are offered in a climate of deep devotion. After the religious service, it is possible to visit the church and admire the ancient painting of the Madonna, an object of great veneration by the faithful.

The Cimbri of Cansiglio participate by descending to the sanctuary from the Cansiglio Forest, location Palughetto.
