Concert of the 73rd concert season “Perfect Harmonies”. Chopin, Concertos no. 1 op. 11 and no. 2 op. 21They will perform in Belluno, hosted by the Bellunese Cultural Circle, pianist Luigi Carroccia, awaited protagonist of a concert dedicated to Fryderyk Chopin, accompanied by an absolutely exceptional string quintet: Roberto Baraldi and Margherita Miramonti on violins, Margherita Fanton on viola, Enrico Graziani on cello, and Chiara Molent on double bass.
The program for the evening includes the performance of the Concerto n. 1 in E minor for piano and orchestra op. 11 (transcription for string quintet) and the Concerto n. 2 in F minor for piano and orchestra op. 21 (transcription for string quintet), composed by Fryderyk Chopin between 1829 and 1830, which we will listen to in its transcription for string quintet, edited by Chopin himself, “in a chamber setting that brings us back to the intimate atmosphere of the romantic parlor among friends and acquaintances rather than the large audience of a grand theater” (from the program notes).
Tickets are available at the concert venue, starting one hour before it begins: full price € 20, members € 15, students € 5, on sale one hour before at the concert location.
An “aristocrat of the piano,” so the critics describe Luigi Carroccia, winner of numerous awards in national and international competitions, including the Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Warsaw. In 2025, the unpublished CD of the two Piano Concertos by Fryderyk Chopin in the transcription for piano and string quintet was released in the monthly Amadeus, also broadcast live on Rai Radio3. Among his future projects, he will be engaged in the years 2026 – 2028 in the performance of the complete Sonatas for piano by composer Franz Schubert. Luigi is currently an Artist in Residence at the Nicola Bulgari Foundation. Roberto Baraldi, since 1997, has been the principal second violin of the orchestra of the Gran Teatro la Fenice in Venice. He plays a J. B. Vuillaume from 1850. Margherita Miramonti, previously a section first violin of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, is actively engaged in concert and study work. Margherita Fanton has been the second viola of the National Orchestra of Santa Cecilia in Rome since 2019, and the principal viola of the Metaphora Ensemble and the Da Vinci Ensemble. Enrico Graziani regularly performs in chamber music projects and is a cello teacher at the “A. Buzzolla” Conservatory in Adria. Chiara Molent has been the principal double bass of the Fondazione Teatro Lirico “Giuseppe Verdi” in Trieste since 2019.
