Conference organized by the Belluno Nature Group

The Belluno Nature Group APS is pleased to present the fourth edition of “Meetings between Nature and Science”, a series of conferences on the naturalistic aspects of the province of Belluno that will take place on Saturday, February 28, March 14, and March 28, 2026.
All events will be held in Belluno at the E. Dal Pont “Bianchi” Conference Room (V.le Fantuzzi, 11) and will start at 5:00 PM.

Mushrooms in Commerce

The conference offers an overview of the role of mushrooms in the commercial context, with particular attention to aspects related to economically important species. The main cultivated mushroom species will be considered, analyzing their biological and ecological characteristics and their distribution in production systems, also referring to Eastern countries, where the cultivation of mushrooms has a long tradition. The presentation also addresses the topic of wild mushrooms in Italy, focusing on the most commonly collected and marketed species and the different preservation methods, such as fresh consumption, drying, or pickling. Through a popular approach, the conference aims to highlight the link between mycological knowledge, the use of natural resources, and the enhancement of mushrooms in the market.
