The most important event dedicated to the cultural and landscape heritage of our Country

On the occasion of the Spring FAI Days, the Pisocco Castle is opened to the public with guided tours.

The visit to the Paderno castle will particularly consider the exteriors, through which it will be possible to observe its location in the territory. Visitors will be able to admire the two entrances to the fortified building, one of which is “well-like.” In addition to the monogram bearing the fateful date 1510 (the date of the destructive fire in Feltre), the original mortars with red vertical lines and markings, a testament to a 14th-century intervention, will also be appreciated; a plaque bearing the Gothic “P” (monogram of Pisocco, the ancient owner) and two openings shaped like “keyholes.”

One will not miss the chance to appreciate the elegant Gothic openings on the south facade and the precious interior painting depicting the Crusaders beneath the walls of Jerusalem, an illustration that recalls the history of the ancient owner of the castle, who participated in the First Crusade alongside the imperial vassal Giovanni da Vidor.
