On Saturday, March 22, the theatrical performance Balazzo fa Ruzante (desperate loves in times of war) of the Non season Belluno Miraggi 24/25, curated by Slow Machine, will take place.

“I believe that Angelo Beolco, with his alter ego and his works, wanted to demonstrate that another way of making art/culture was possible and tried to perform anti-system actions even when he was embraced by that system. In this, I believe the closeness with the poetics and vision of Natalino Balasso is evident. In this world of peasants where the plague comes and goes, the tragic and comic are fused and seasoned with unfulfilled physical desires and unrecognized rights. Through a deep humorous effort, one attempts to demystify the city, power, the distorted idea of well-being to which these peasants have sacrificed everything. Where we thought to find a comforting and bucolic landscape, we find cruelty and oppression. Thus, in searching for “joy,” we have reached the top of the pole to discover that the hams and other delicacies are made of plastic.
