Anabel Montesinos, chitarra.

15 May @ 0:00

Concert of the 72nd Season 2025, “Parallel Motions”.

Anabel Montesinos, the youngest winner (at 17 years old) of the International Guitar Competition Francisco Tarrega in Spain, as well as an international figure in the world of guitar, arrives in Belluno, hosted by the Bellunese Cultural Circle, on Thursday, May 15, at 8:30 PM, in the Auditorium hall of Liceo Lollino, with her guitar and a very broad musical proposal, spanning composers such as Domeniconi, Ponce, Weiss, Bach, Barrios, Piazzolla, Ramírez, Tirao, Scarlatti, and Tarrega.

The result is a “rich and varied program, traversing different epochs and cultures, highlighting all the expressive possibilities of the guitar, an instrument capable of telling stories and evoking deep emotions through the magic of its strings.”

A much-anticipated concert, given the absolute international prestige of the artist, who has already won 10 first prizes in major competitions dedicated to guitar.

Anabel Montesinos has performed concerts around the world and in 2011 received the “Golden Guitar Award” as a young talent and for her artistic merits for her professional commitment, at the International Guitar Conference in Alessandria.

The artist has recorded for Naxos and her first CD was chosen by British Airways as the musical program on their intercontinental flights. She shared a concert poster with Paco de Lucía, presenting “the other side of Spanish music” with resounding success.

Her 2019 tour concluded with the performance of the Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen for orchestra, choir, and guitar, a selection of songs by the rock band that was praised with exceptional enthusiastic acclaim.

Apart from her programs expressly dedicated to Spanish music from the Renaissance to contemporaneity, Anabel has presented popular works in many of her recitals, such as the “Bohemian Rhapsody” cycle.

In December 2021, the guitarist recorded her third CD in Brazil, with the Guitar Coop Society. The album is titled Alma Llanera and is dedicated to Latin American musical culture, with classical and popular works.

Montesinos is a Savarez Artist, collaborating with Cantiga Alliance Premium, and plays a guitar built in 2018 by the great luthier Steve Connor, named Jasmine.
