The free flight school Monte Avena was founded in 1992 thanks to the passion for flight of Maurizio Bottegal and Ivo Gadenz.

Located in the municipality of Pedavena, in the southwestern part of the province of Belluno, the Monte Avena Paragliding School invites you to take flight from its 1400 meters of altitude. Behind you, the imposing profile of the Belluno Dolomites; in front, the succession of the Prealps, which open up towards the vast Venetian plain until fading into the Lagoon of Venice. On clearer days, the gaze can reach all the way to the sea.

For over 30 years, this school has been a reference point for anyone wanting to approach the world of paragliding, the sport of the air in its most authentic form. The absence of a motor gives way to the sound of the wind, in an experience that blends technique, freedom, and harmony with nature.

State-of-the-art materials, always updated teaching methods, and an ideal territory for free flight make the Monte Avena Paragliding School one of the most advanced realities in Italy. Over 500 pilots have experienced their first flight experience here, feeling the thrill of taking off from the ground.
