An easy walk between Art and Nature
A easy and relaxing walk with the little ones among art and nature? In Bardies, in the territory of Borgo Valbelluna, at the confluence of the Piave – a river sacred to the Fatherland – and the Rimonta stream, you’ll find the Laghetti della Rimonta, and they are just right for you! A loop of just over 2.5km, flat and suitable for everyone, to be taken slowly to appreciate its various shades.
Leave the car at the sports field in Lentiai, head towards Bardies and walk along the right bank of the Rimonta stream. You will find yourself in a perfect environment to observe wildlife: birds, amphibians, reptiles, and insects, but if you’re lucky, you might also see large mammals like deer and roe deer that come here to drink. Venture through meadows, woods, and ponds in any season and observe the magnificent biodiversity of trees, shrubs, and flowers, and have fun discovering and photographing all the beautiful works and installations by local artists perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment.
To conclude beautifully, don’t miss a look at the ancient restored lime kiln used for lime production. Remember, before getting back in your car, to treat yourself to the luxury of being enchanted by the beauty of the recently restored frescoes of the thirteenth-century church of Bardies by Giovanni and Marco da Mel and Cesare Vecellio.
Rimont’Arte Rimont’Arte is a project that was born in 2015 thanks to the intuition of the Gruppo Natura Lentiai, which has involved many local artists to make the trail even more interesting to visit. The works perfectly integrate into the surrounding environment, appearing suddenly behind a tree, in the water, or in the meadows.

It is not recommended:
- to take the route in anticipation of adverse weather conditions in the watershed area;
- to visit the site even in the first hours following a storm event that has affected the watershed area to avoid encountering large quantities of water; to leave the marked paths where present;
- to lean over and climb over railings and fences where present;
It is strongly recommended:
- to refrain from adopting loud or annoying behaviors and to respect the environment.

Currently, the loop is not fully walkable due to the collapse of a footbridge, but the trail is still accessible.
