The itinerary starts from Mel (where takes place the event “Mele a Mel”, the second weekend of October) and doesn’t have a lot of difference in height in the first leg. After crossing the Piave river, you’ll reach Pasa, riding through a tree-lined road and then towards Villiago, where you can enjoy a striking view. After reaching the town of Sedico, the route traces its way along a short stretch on the state highway to continue till the area of Roe Basse. The itinerary continues in the direction of the “Certosa di Vedana” (Charterhouse of Vedana). From here starts an up-and-down hill leg of your ride till you reach the highest point in S. Gregorio nelle Alpi, after a very challenging climb of about 2.5 km. You’ll find yourself in the Monti del Sole area, and, looking at your left, you can admire the entire valley of Belluno and the Venetian Prealps, Continuing the route, you’ll reach Cesiomaggiore, home to the renowned “Historical Bicycle Museum”. From here the route follows the Via Claudia Augusta Altinate until the town of Busche. It makes its way along the left bank of the Piave river, crossing the town of Lentiai till it reaches the beautiful sixteenth-century main square of Mel.
