Serata a cura degli organizzatori della mostra fotografica Ruggero Monego

17 September @ 0:00

The evening of September 17 is organized by the President of Anpi in Feltre, Giovanni Perenzin, and Professor Franco Ladini, organizer of the photographic exhibition Ruggero Monego: a life courageously lived.

The evening of September 17 is organized by the President of Anpi di Feltre Giovanni Perenzin and Professor Franco Ladini, the organizer of the exhibition who will present a documentary about the exhibition using a video projector.

The event begins with an introductory greeting from the daughters of Ruggero Monego: Flavia, Francesca, and Tiziana. Franco Ladini, a former radiologist, is passionate about photography, particularly in the search for old photographs of the territory of S. Giustina and Cesiomaggiore.

During his search for old photographs of the territory of Cesiomaggiore, he discovers photos taken by Ruggero Monego on the day of Liberation in Santa Giustina and decides to organize an exhibition in collaboration with the provincial administration, which now hosts the documentation in a permanent exhibition.

Giovanni Perenzin, born on October 7, 1945, in Feltre where he resides, is a retired high school literature teacher and was the Mayor of Feltre in the 1970s. He has been President of the provincial ANPI committee of Belluno. He is currently the secretary of ANPI in Feltre and a member of Isbrec.

The exhibition focuses on the final period of World War II, particularly on the day of Liberation in Santa Giustina.

The photographs on display, taken on May 2, 1945, document the welcome given by local people to the Allied liberation troops.

These images were kept by Ruggero Monego, who made them available for reproduction about twenty years ago, along with his personal memories of that day.

The exhibition aims to revisit that day to understand the joy of liberation and promote a culture of peace.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until September 28, 2025, and admission is free.

A guided tour of the Museum of the Alpini is scheduled for September 27 at 4:30 PM.

To register or for more information, you can send an email to museodolomiti@provincia.belluno.it or call the number 0437 959162.

The opening hours of the exhibition are as follows: Monday to Friday by appointment, contacting by email at m.barbonetti@provincia.belluno.it or calling the number 0437 959331.

On Saturdays and Sundays, admission is free from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
