Monday, February 2 at 6:00 PM, Conference Room at Villa Patt an event organized by the Bellunese Culture and Press Circle with the slalom skier and now television commentator for ski races Paolo De Chiesa who will present his book “I Touched the Sky,” a glimpse into a life lived intensely, alongside the great champions of world skiing, revealing personal anecdotes as well.
The book is the extraordinary story of Paolo De Chiesa, the slalom skier who ignited the passion of skiing enthusiasts, in which he recounts his life, his affections, and his beginnings on snow, revealing a dramatic fact that has been kept silent until now: “I was at the peak of my strength, I was 22 years old and I was going very fast. I survived by a miracle, I suffered heavy consequences and no one has ever apologized to me, despite the fact that I have always covered for those responsible. Even today, the pain torments me.”
His unyielding tenacity and desire to return to the podiums of the World Cup made him a protagonist again, successfully facing rivals such as Ingemar Stenmark and Phil Mahre.
The evening will be presented by Elisa Calcamuggi and will be hosted in the conference room of Villa Patt in Sedico, part of the project #SLIP.
