Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday, young and old from the City of Belluno are invited to the Pontét of Borgo Piave to play rolo as per tradition.

Holy Saturday April 19, Easter Sunday April 20, and Easter Monday April 21, starting at 3:00 PM, big and small from the City of Belluno are invited to our “broken bridge of Borgo Piave” to play rolo as per tradition.

It was, in fact, a custom of Borgo Piave to play rolo on the paved part of the Ponte Vecchio where once, as Gianni Secco, already a protagonist of our Dolomitic Masks Museum at palazzo Secco, recalled, they would make the field using the sand from the Piave and would challenge each other with eggs rolled on the lavador (board for washing clothes).

To participate in the game, it is necessary to arrive provided with 1-2 painted hardboiled eggs, to distinguish them from those of other participants, and coins to use in the game (20 cents).

This year, our association wanted to dedicate the event to Luciano Clapis, a resident of Borgo Pra, who for years carried on the tradition in Piazza dei Martiri and has recently passed away.
