A traveler knows well that the word journey means encounter. And a traveler knows well that along the way many encounters will happen, and that some of these fleeting meetings will become friendships. And we all know that friendship in turn generates further new encounters, and therefore new journeys. It is in this marvelous chain of exchanges that Matteo Mangili intercepted us and we accepted the challenge: Matteo will depart from Genoa to land in our bookstore in Feltre where he will talk to us about his first novel “Evviva”. A novel that takes us back to the late 70s, in those years so full of life, doubts, dreams, and expectations

. Especially for those who are young and hungry for life. This is how three friends, Nino, Meo, and Fausto, decide to flee from their small mountain village to descend into the big city in search of a better future. Here, among the picturesque glimpses of Genoa, following the lives of the three boys, we will cross paths with some men who have contributed to making our world a little better. A priest and a singer-songwriter. But above all, we will find ourselves wanting to know which path the three young friends will take, to whom you will quickly grow attached as if they were your own friends. It is a novel that speaks of friendship.

 And of journeys. A book that tells the dreams and fears of those who leave, but also of those who stay. And of those who return. Because life is an infinite series of doors that we can cross or not, and with each choice, there is an encounter or a separation.
