Presentazione del libro Numeri nel bosco
Under the care of the Borgo Piave ETC Association, Marco Trevisan’s book “Numbers in the Woods” will be presented in Belluno, in the “Da Rosalina” hall at via Uniera dei Zatèr 6 in Borgo Piave. The presentation is part of the “Books on Rafts” series.
Numbers in the woods is a book not only to read but especially to count.
The numbers are represented as colorful trees and as the story progresses, they become the backdrop for the adventures of a lively group of children, who will guide the reader to the discovery of prime numbers.
Marco Trevisan, born in Belluno in 1984, spent his childhood collecting twisted branches, rusty vines, old broken clocks, and other interesting things that were then transformed into bizarre objects of uncertain shape and definite uselessness.
The desire to play with useless things followed him to university, where he indeed chose to graduate in Mathematics.
During his university years, he attended some illustration courses and since then has been seeking a dialogue between these two seemingly contrasting worlds.
He is also the author of the book “Chi cerca trova,” while his collaborations as an illustrator can be found in the books “Tutto è possibile” by Giulia Belloni, “Le paure di Gaia” by Zak Baldisserotto, and “UNESCO Italia – il viaggio delle meraviglie” by Veronica Zanirato.
Spaces are limited, so reservations are recommended at segreteria@borgopiaveetc.it
The presentation is part of the “Libri in Zattera” review. There will be the opportunity to purchase the book on-site.
