The Dolomiti Symphonia Orchestra Association, in collaboration with the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Belluno, the Teatri delle Dolomiti Foundation, and the Belluno Culture and Press Circle, is staging the opera “Capuleti e Montecchi” by Vincenzo Bellini at the Teatro Dino Buzzati in Belluno.

In the year of the opening of the city theater, which took place on September 26, 1835, the program actually included the representation of this title, which is intended to be repeated after 190 years on October 31, 2025.

The choice of this title, besides recalling the history of the Belluno theater, also aims to enhance the great Italian tradition of opera, particularly the “bel canto,” which, while known worldwide, does not always receive the attention it deserves in the repertoire of opera seasons.

The project includes a complete staging and therefore there will be participation from the conductor and music director Delio Cassetta, the direction by Enrico Castiglione, the sets and costumes by Grandi Spettacoli under the care of Elena D’Angelo, the cast from PBMUSIC, the Dolomiti Symphonia Orchestra, and the B. Marcello Choir.

The leading organization of the event will be the Dolomiti Symphonia Orchestra and Choir Association, which is celebrating its 40 years of activity this year.
