Meeting with Giorgio Daidola, ski mountaineer

Come Back Beyond the Peaks, from January 9 to 18, 2026. The theme of the 29th edition is “Snow?”. A rich program of events awaits you!

On Sunday, January 18 at 5:30 PM, at Palazzo Crepadona, there will be a meeting with Giorgio Daidolo titled “Skiing Conquering the Alps. From Fridtjof Nansen to Steep Skiing“

Journalist and writer about the sea and mountains, ski instructor, former university lecturer in Trento. He has ascended and descended peaks on all seven continents with skis and made the first telemark descent from 8027 m on Shisha Pangma. Former editor of Rivista della Montagna and Dimensione Sci, he collaborates with Skialper.

He is the author of Ski Spirit, awarded the Gambrinus prize in 2016, Mountain Skiers, a history of ski mountaineering through its charismatic protagonists, and No Fall Lines, a history of skiing where falling is forbidden, second prize in the non-fiction category at Leggimontagna 2025.
