On Saturday, May 17, the show KINKY BOOTS. The iconic musical about high heels will take place at the Teatro Comunale Dino Buzzati.

Kinky Boots, the iconic musical about high heels that won 7 Tony Awards and 1 Drama Desk Award, arrives in its unpublished Italian version by DreaMuiscal Teatro.

After the debut and the first performances, all sold out, this new hilarious musical written by pop queen Cyndi Lauper comes to Italian theaters.

The show, entirely sung live under license from MTI Musical Theatre International Europe, tells the story of Charlie Price, heir to the family business, the famous “Price and Son”, a shoemaking factory in Northampton near London.

Charlie has just settled into his new apartment in London when his father suddenly passes away, so he returns for the funeral and discovers that the factory is on the brink of bankruptcy. The company produces high-quality men’s shoes, but they are out of fashion and not affordable, leading to unsold stock. The young man is determined to save his father’s factory, despite having no idea how to run a business; the employees, furthermore, are hostile and skeptical towards the new management.
By chance, Charlie meets Lola, a Drag Queen who performs in nightclubs with her divine “Angels”.
The idea comes just before the disaster: a niche market to save the factory. High boots, stiletto heel, fire-engine red are the basic ingredients for a pair of extravagant Kinky Boots: “80 cm of irresistible tubular sex”!
Price and Son has three weeks to present the project at Milan Fashion Week and save the factory!

Based on a true story, Kinky Boots is the musical that has captivated audiences on Broadway and in London, delivering a clear and profound message: equality and acceptance!
