Giugno a Starson

28 June @ 0:00

Entry 5 € – free for members and children

On Saturday, June 28 at 9 PM there will be a special evening for the little ones at the Arson planetarium dedicated to children. Various models of the Moon and Earth will be constructed to highlight the differences in mass and density, reproduce the phenomenon of Earthshine, the mechanics of lunar eclipses, etc.

With the help of space scales, children will realize the differing lunar gravity. An animated simulation by the children themselves will help us understand why the Moon always shows us the same face. Spectacular videos at the planetarium will finally complete the experience, allowing us to understand how the Moon actually moves in the sky. All young guests will receive fun gadgets.

The evening will be without the Moon, so the deep sky can be observed with the large Dobson telescope at the Center, particularly the last spring galaxies, such as the Whirlpool galaxy in Canes Venatici, the Cigars galaxy and Bode’s galaxy in Ursa Major, the Black Eye and Needle in Coma Berenices, the Sombrero in Virgo, and the globular clusters M3, M5, M10, M12, and M13, as well as the Eagle nebula in Serpens and Omega in Sagittarius.
