Saturday, April 26 “Are We Going to Paradise?”

When, at the end of the 1800s, many desperate people left Casso to seek fortune in Brazil, the two Barzan brothers chose to move to Arsiè to settle on a terrace at the foot of Mount Dolada. Upon arriving, one of them looked around and exclaimed, “this is a Paradise!”.
We will also depart from the picturesque village of Arsiè, and after visiting it with Diego Rizzo, the soul and driving force of this place, we will hike up to the Paradises, where you can enjoy a splendid view and some rustic houses will tell us about times gone by.
We will be welcomed by Guido Barzan, the great-grandson of the legendary brothers, along with his family, who will recount unique stories.
Up there, we will have a varied and hearty snack, with fresh bread baked locally in an ancient wood-fired oven.
From this sunny plateau, we will enjoy an extensive panorama and feel ourselves in… Paradise!.

Duration approximately 3 and a half hours. Route of 4 km on dirt and paved roads with a height difference of 350 m.
Meeting at 14:30 at the Paiane parking lot (Ponte nelle Alpi).

Maximum 25 participants; registration fee €5 per person (minors excluded) to be paid to the guide on the day of the excursion.
Appropriate footwear is recommended; in case of bad weather, the excursion will be canceled and rescheduled for a later date.
