Belluno 1925

As part of the event “Sunday of Paper” proposed annually by the General Archives Directorate of the Ministry of Culture, the State Archive of Belluno presents a replica of the event already held on October 12 and reopens its doors on Friday, November 14 with “Belluno 1925 – The city and territory a century ago in archival documents“.

The exhibition aims to represent the image of the city and its territory a century ago, in all aspects documented by the materials preserved in the State Archive and the historical archive of the Municipality of Belluno: politics, economy, society, with particular attention to the changes that affected the urban fabric of the city center in the years 1924-1926.

It will be possible to visit the architectural complex of S. Maria dei Battuti (church, chapter room, and garden), home of the State Archive. Access is allowed for groups of a maximum of 25 people, upon reservation, starting from 3:00 PM. The exhibition can also be visited independently, with hours from 9 AM to 1 PM and 2:45 PM to 6:30 PM.

On the occasion of “The Night of the Archives”, the State Archive of Belluno offers a special opening titled “Between Documents and Notes”. The event includes guided tours of the architectural complex of Santa Maria dei Battuti (church, chapter house, and garden), with the opportunity to also explore the documentary exhibition “30 Years of Exhibitions at the State Archive of Belluno”.
