On Wednesday, November 12, the presentation of Riccardo Pasqualin’s book “Antonio Maresio Bazzolle – Antirisorgimento veneto” will be held at Palazzo Crepadona.

Speakers include Gregorio Piaia, emeritus professor of the History of Philosophy at the University of Padua, and Paolo Conte, former director of the Historical Archive of Belluno Feltre and Cadore.

A fascinating and seemingly contradictory intellectual figure, the Belluno native Antonio Maresio Bazolle (1818-1896) traversed the nineteenth century with an independent and polemical gaze. Remembered primarily as a chronicler of the profound changes of his time, he was at times an “uncomfortable” observer and often dismissed as reactionary. Riccardo Pasqualin’s book reconstructs his profile, attempting to highlight his personality while composing the narrative of a “reversed” resurgence.
