Croce d’Aune – Rifugio Dal Piaz

Towards the Vette Feltrine

The itinerary Croce d’Aune-Refuge Dal Piaz winds through the Vette Feltrine, one of the most important mountain ranges of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, belonging to the group of the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From the car park of Croce d’Aune (Sovramonte), take an uphill paved road that shortly after narrows into a mule track.

From here follow the signs to Refuge Dal Piaz. The road leading to the refuge is a military road, not open to traffic and of medium gradient.

Proceed uphill, along the side of the mountain, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Feltre and its valley. The refuge can be seen in the distance.

From the refuge Dal Piaz, taking off the few meters of the Pass Vette, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the “Busa delle Vette Grandi” called “Busa delle Meraviglie”.

• No to the shouting
• Prohibition of ignition of fires
• Do not leave waste around, but throw them in the appropriate spaces (also cigarette butts, tissues, masks and wet waste)
• Minors must be accompanied
• Dogs must be kept on a leash and their collected excreta
• Do not leave the path
• Do not disturb the local fauna
