The most mysterious walk of the Belluno Prealps!
Depart from the Melere area where you can leave your car, and venture into the woods and meadows of Cavarnere following the trail marker n°2323.
It is whispered that here wizards and witches used to gather on dark nights to weave their mysteries. Take note and return during the Mystery shows organized by the Pro Loco of Trichiana at the end of October, where you will discover interesting legends.
Arrive at the small but very active hamlet of Nate which hides the church of San Isidoro, owned by the Foscolo family of Casteldardo, mentioned in 1790 but with signs of construction dating back to the 15th century. The nearby building is itself a small mystery, perhaps an ancient hermitage or possibly a lookout post during the times of the Most Serene Republic of Venice.
The “Riva dell’Oca”, an ancient connecting road to the alpine pastures of the Melere area, is the road that will take you back to the place where you left your means of transport.
