The Vincheto is a protected marshland area, located on the right bank of the river Piave, in the locality of Villapaiera, in Feltre.
The Vincheto is a protected marshland area, located on the right bank of the river Piave, in the locality of Villapaiera, in Feltre.
The area is characterized by the presence of wetlands, with stagnant waters, forests, meadows and a rich variety of fauna, such as roe deer, badgers, foxes, edible dormouses and many birds.
Inside the reserve, which is managed by the “Corpo Forestale dello Stato” (State Forestry Corps), there are wildlife enclosures where you can see fallow deer , moufflon and red deer in probation.There is also an interesting visitor centre, riding stables and an apiary.
