Back to Borgo Piave, for its fifth edition, the event that unites illustrations, music, and words in a journey through art, languages, and sounds that celebrate the women of The Odyssey.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, October 5th, at 3:00 PM, at the \u201cda Rosalina\u201d space in Borgo Piave ETC aps, the fifth edition of the theatrical reading with musical accompaniment organized by Gocce di Sole APS will take place, paired with the graphic exhibition Melimmagino, conceived and curated by Rosy Tese\u2019 for the Vivamelio association, which this year has as its theme the Odyssey.<\/p>\n
In the reading, however, the focus will not be on the Homeric hero but will be projected onto the true protagonists of the work, the women.<\/p>\n
In the epic of Ulysses, women are the architects of their destiny and the destiny of the clever hero: without women, the lord of Ithaca would not have found help after losing his entire fleet, would not have received the directions to return home, would not have rediscovered the rules of hospitality and civil living, and finally would not have seen his land again, embraced his family, and retained his throne.<\/p>\n
Thanks to women, the story of the hero has reached us, and the name of Ulysses has remained immortal in the minds of men.<\/p>\n
The passages chosen from the Odyssey will be recited in the three languages: Greek, Italian, and Bellunese dialect in the version created by Professor Thomas Pellegrini, demonstrating how the epic work transcends all eras and cultures.<\/p>\n
Indeed, it is the epic of all humanity, of the emotions and feelings of men and women who still today recognize themselves in Ulysses, in Calypso, in Circe, in Penelope.<\/p>\n
Come and get to know the Homeric heroines, and you will find many traits of modern women!<\/p>\n
The exhibition, with free entry, is open for visits from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.<\/p>\n
The theatrical reading is at 3:00 PM with limited seating.<\/p>\n
