After months of work, the first open studio of the Sponde theater laboratory sees the light: a community theater project. During the meetings, we questioned what water is. The answers are manifold and diversified, but it is undeniable to conclude by emphasizing the importance of water as a common good, as it is an essential element for life, human activity, and the vitality of our territories.<\/p>\n
Each of us has different experiences with water. Many of us are tied to deep flowing memories of water. Many of us hold sayings, legends, verses, and songs about water. <\/p>\n
In our personal memories and in our family myths, water is a dual element: it brings forth tranquility or a comforting calm expanse on one hand, but at the same time, it is a disruptive force, destructive or a terrifying element of fear. <\/p>\n
Sponde, therefore, is the tale of a flow because it builds a narrative between opposite banks to weave together conscious and unconscious, shared and personal concepts.
