Live sculpture of Agordine ritual masks curated by Andrea Darman and Matteo Dagai<\/p>\n
In the courtyard of Palazzo Secco, home to the Maschere Dolomitiche Museum of Gianluigi Secco, Andrea Darman and Matteo Dagai, mask-makers from Rocca Pietore, will be seen live sculpting the masks for the ritual processions of the towns in Alto Agordino.<\/p>\n
These are beautiful and ugly faces that evoke the old and the new generation, winter and spring, good and evil, wealth and poverty.<\/p>\n
At Laste and Sottoguda, the ritual masks are accompanied by the Matacinch and Lach\u00e9 in Laste and the Matazin in Sottoguda.<\/p>\n
The parades are led by the Capobal or Capo Mascora.<\/p>\n
The event is organized by Borgo Piave ETC aps and is part of the \u201cBelluno Citt\u00e0 del legno\u201d series.<\/p>\n
