The great Mid-Lent festival organized by Pro Loco Trichiana is back.<\/p>\n
“Brusa la Vecia<\/b>” is a traditional event that takes place during the Mid-Lent period. Following the reading of the “Testament of the Vecia<\/b>“, there is the spectacular “bonfire” of the Vecia, which evokes an ancient custom of popular tradition. It is, in fact, a true “rite of passage” from the old to the new, from the bad season to the good season, which carries with it the will to avert all malevolence and to favor goodness.<\/p>\n
Every year, the Pro Loco of Trichiana has the various districts and fractions “compete” to determine the winner; scores are given based on the reading of the testament, the bonfire, and the choreography! The appointment is on Saturday, March 29 at 8:15 PM with the burning of the Vecia<\/b> at Parco Lotto.<\/p>\n
Many other initiatives are associated with the event each year.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, the 22nd, in Piazza Merlin and Piazza Saubens from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the market “Robe de na olta<\/b>” showcases objects and flavors of the past, an antique market, and local products<\/b> with demonstrations of crafts and games from bygone days.<\/p>\n
At 6:15 PM, the non-competitive walk “La vecia che camina de not<\/b>” will depart from Piazza Saubens to discover the most picturesque corners of Trichiana. A 3.5 km route at a free pace with stages of shows, music, and refreshment<\/b>! To participate, a headlamp or flashlight is required. Registration is \u20ac5. At the end, music with DJ Fabris. During the event, there will be equipped kiosks and Food Trucks.<\/p>\n
From March 22 to March 29, the challenge among merchants “the fiery window<\/b>” invites you to visit all the decorated shop windows for the occasion; you can participate in the drawing of 3 vouchers to be used at the participating businesses!<\/p>\n
