DESCRIPTION:The historic Sedico Carnival begins with the Carnival Party on Saturday\, January 31 at Palaskating in Sedico from 9:00 PM: ’80s-’90s vinyl music with Radio Più\, live radio broadcast\, entertainment\, and awards for the most original costumes and those coming from the farthest away. A kiosk with sandwiches\, fries\, drinks\, and cocktails will be available. \nOn Saturday\, February 7 at 6:30 PM at the New Cultural Hub\, the opening of the exhibition of works from the schools of the Municipality of Sedico participating in Carnevalarte: ex tempore on the theme “A… Olympic Carnival” in memory of Livio Maraga. \nOn Sunday\, 8 from 3:00 PM\, the traditional masked parade with floats and the Municipal Musical Corps in costume. Entertainment for the little ones with Cirillo and Bo and a final show on stage. A tale that blends reality and fantasy\, history and biography\, science and Venetian folklore. \nOn stage\, projected illustrations accompany the narration: a blue crab sliding through the canals of Venice\, a giant catfish emerging from the murky waters of the Po\, a cloud of tiger mosquitoes darkening the sky over the Po Delta. These visual elements will be accompanied by a soundtrack that mixes sounds of nature\, urban noises\, and live music. \nWith his characteristic ability to blend comedy and drama\, Pennacchi uses his personal alien bestiary to touch on highly relevant themes: human migrations induced by climate change\, the challenges of integration in a rapidly changing society\, and the need to rethink our relationship with the environment. “Aliens in the Lagoon” becomes a mirror of contemporary society\, inviting the audience to reflect on their own actions and the very concept of “alien”. To guide the audience toward the finale\, Pennacchi tells the story of bacalà\, a food once considered “alien” that has become a symbol of Venetian cuisine.
