SUMMARY:Modernità e Tradizione in Piero della Francesca
DESCRIPTION:Conference by Benedetta Fanciulli \nOn Wednesday\, May 14\, the conference “Piero della Francesca” by Benedetta Fanciulli will be held\, organized by the Friends of the Belluno Museum Association\, at the Bianchi Hall. \nThe “rarefied and monumental” space of Piero’s painting\, the impassive rationality of the figures that appear within it\, touches one of the highest peaks of early Renaissance painting and constitutes an essential lesson for its subsequent developments. The surviving fragments of his Augustine Polyptych\, painted for the Church of the Augustinians in Borgo San Sepolcro\, coming from various museums and exhibited for the first time after years at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan in 2024\, have garnered media attention as well as admiration from thousands of visitors. But the richest and most significant pictorial treasure of Piero della Francesca is the frescoes of “The Legend of the True Cross” in the Bacci Chapel in the Basilica of San Francesco in Arezzo\, frescoes in which\, starting from the origin tree of the cross\, he gives life not only to the most significant episodes of its genesis but also to the main historical events related to the role of the cross itself up to the year 628\, when the “wood” that was stolen was returned to Jerusalem. \nFree entrance until seats are filled.

SUMMARY:Presentazione del libro “Quella telefonata dalla tomba”
DESCRIPTION:That phone call from a grave… Can artificial intelligence resurrect the dead? And perhaps\, thanks to a chip implanted in the brain\, can a deceased person call from the grave? \nThese are the absurd and extravagant questions that\, at the beginning of the novel\, Egisto Galbaio\, a descendant of one of the first Doges of the Serenissima Republic and an admirer of the great Edgar Allan Poe\, the inventor of detective fiction\, contemplates in Venice. \nAspiring investigator\, Galbaio cannot imagine that a chain of terrible crimes awaits him in the art world\, with artificial intelligence mysteriously at the service not of a beautiful painting but of the most ruthless crime. \nIn this fourth novel\, Ferruccio Gard raises the pyrotechnic voltage of his three previous thrillers even higher\, blending horror and irony in a fast-paced succession of twists and ancient testimonies of place names and people\, brought up to date in an art world with characters willing to do anything to make huge profits. \nFrom Venice to Bogotá\, the sequence of atrocious crimes\, among art dealers and masterpieces of famous artists\, the work of investigators and the judiciary will become increasingly complicated and difficult\, culminating in a stunning finale\, including the revelation of the shocking identity of one of the killers and the double surprise mystery of the role of AI. \nA finale that\, perhaps\, may never end. The two questions: will AI\, artificial intelligence\, be useful or could it have negative consequences? This is the great question that the world is asking. \nSome of the protagonists of the thriller have already answered it for themselves. Will it be useful to spill blood for profit? Very well\, no problem\, red is one of the favorite colors of artists. \nFree admission. Reservation is recommended at no. 0437 913323 or via email at prenotazionimuseo@comune.belluno.it. \nPresentation of the book “That Phone Call from the Grave” by the author Ferruccio Gard\, ed. Supernova\, first publication 2024. \nThe event will be moderated by Raffaele Addamiano\, Culture Councillor of the Municipality of Belluno\, with the participation of the author.

SUMMARY:Carlo Rizzarda sulla carta
DESCRIPTION:In 2024\, the Carlo Rizzarda catalog “poet of iron” was presented to the public. The 400-page volume\, in addition to featuring the sheets of wrought iron artifacts preserved in the museum\, retraces the life of the famous ornamental blacksmith from Feltre. \n From May 14 to August 17\, it is literally possible to immerse oneself in the pages of the catalog by visiting the Carlo Rizzarda exhibition on paper. Besides the works forged by the master and his art collection\, documents\, drawings\, photos\, period publications\, printing matrices\, and some unpublished works are displayed\, not only by Rizzarda but also by Umberto Bellotto and Alessandro Mazzucotelli. \n Five sections are proposed. Carlo Rizzarda in Feltre recounts the artist’s youth and the works created in his hometown: from the Gaggia lamp to the gate of Villa De Mezzan in Grum\, a true swan song. A Feltre native in Milan offers a glimpse into the context in which Rizzarda operated in the Milanese capital and illustrates the commissions completed for prestigious personalities here in an authentic whirlwind of works and places. \n The “poet of iron\,” “Lisander\,” and “the Magician” illustrate the close bond with Mazzucotelli and the profound stylistic differences with the production of the latter and Bellotto. Following are Carlo Rizzarda and art exhibitions\, and Carlo Rizzarda and the architects\, which propose a journey through the ironworks displayed on the second floor of the Gallery\, enriched by scenic designs and trompe l’oeil. \nThe life\, work\, and environment of the “poet of iron\,” in documents\, drawings\, and archival photos

SUMMARY:Anabel Montesinos\, chitarra.
DESCRIPTION:Concert of the 72nd Season 2025\, “Parallel Motions”. \nAnabel Montesinos\, the youngest winner (at 17 years old) of the International Guitar Competition Francisco Tarrega in Spain\, as well as an international figure in the world of guitar\, arrives in Belluno\, hosted by the Bellunese Cultural Circle\, on Thursday\, May 15\, at 8:30 PM\, in the Auditorium hall of Liceo Lollino\, with her guitar and a very broad musical proposal\, spanning composers such as Domeniconi\, Ponce\, Weiss\, Bach\, Barrios\, Piazzolla\, Ramírez\, Tirao\, Scarlatti\, and Tarrega. \nThe result is a “rich and varied program\, traversing different epochs and cultures\, highlighting all the expressive possibilities of the guitar\, an instrument capable of telling stories and evoking deep emotions through the magic of its strings.” \nA much-anticipated concert\, given the absolute international prestige of the artist\, who has already won 10 first prizes in major competitions dedicated to guitar. \nAnabel Montesinos has performed concerts around the world and in 2011 received the “Golden Guitar Award” as a young talent and for her artistic merits for her professional commitment\, at the International Guitar Conference in Alessandria. \nThe artist has recorded for Naxos and her first CD was chosen by British Airways as the musical program on their intercontinental flights. She shared a concert poster with Paco de Lucía\, presenting “the other side of Spanish music” with resounding success. \n Her 2019 tour concluded with the performance of the Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen for orchestra\, choir\, and guitar\, a selection of songs by the rock band that was praised with exceptional enthusiastic acclaim. \nApart from her programs expressly dedicated to Spanish music from the Renaissance to contemporaneity\, Anabel has presented popular works in many of her recitals\, such as the “Bohemian Rhapsody” cycle. \nIn December 2021\, the guitarist recorded her third CD in Brazil\, with the Guitar Coop Society. The album is titled Alma Llanera and is dedicated to Latin American musical culture\, with classical and popular works. \nMontesinos is a Savarez Artist\, collaborating with Cantiga Alliance Premium\, and plays a guitar built in 2018 by the great luthier Steve Connor\, named Jasmine. \nFor information and reservations\, send an email to segreteriabelcircolo@gmail.com.
