A Christmas in the spirit of the winters of the past\, snow\, and sledding that have shaped the collective imagination of mountain communities. \nAt the entrance of the museum\, visitors are greeted by a charming small nativity scene\, set up as an introduction to the exhibition “The Sled in Tradition\, Play\, and Competition\,” dedicated to the world of sledding\, which will be inaugurated at the end of January. A first taste of an exhibition path that tells the story of games\, movement\, and winter life of the past. \nNext to the nativity scene\, there is also a special Christmas tree\, designed as a place for sharing: all visitors are invited to hang a personal memory related to snow\, sledding\, and emotions experienced during the winters of their childhood. A simple gesture that transforms the museum into a lively space made of personal stories and collective memory. \n \nThe calendar continues on Saturday\, January 3\, 2026\, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM\, with “Knowledge Barter\,” an activity dedicated to girls and boys aged 10 and up. An introduction to discovering watercolor\, led by the museum’s watercolorists\, designed as a moment of exchange\, creativity\, and learning. The activity is free\, but space is limited.

DESCRIPTION:The free Christmas tours organized by volunteers of the Campedel Association return this year to discover the artistic treasures of the churches in Belluno: three events to unveil the history and works of the sacred places in the territory through stories\, anecdotes\, and curiosities. \nOn Saturday\, January 3\, at 3:30 PM\, we will visit the Cathedral of San Martino. The first sacred building\, probably paleochristian\, was dedicated to St. Martin of Tours by the Bishop of Belluno\, Felice\, in 548\, during the Gothic wars. Among the 14th-century altars\, there remains the so-called ark of the Azzoni\, bricked inside the bell tower\, and that of the Avoscano\, which today serves as the altar table of the crypt.In 1471\, an accidental fire forced the reconstruction of the cathedral\, which previously had its façade facing the Piave: the new cathedral was erected starting in 1517\, designed by Tullio Lombardo.In 1732\, the Baroque bell tower was raised\, designed by Filippo Juvarra. Inside\, it houses works by Cesare Vecellio\, Andrea Meldolla known as lo Schiavone\, Jacopo Da Ponte\, Andrea Brustolon\, Gaspare Diziani\, and others. \nNo reservation is required.
