It is a building that tells a story of incredible resilience\, having survived devastating fires and the requisitions of the Great War thanks to the devotion of its inhabitants. Finally\, it houses the relics of Saint Faustus\, before which the ancient local families swore a historic peace that ended generations of bloody conflicts. \nThe dates on which it will be open are every first Saturday of the month from June to October (June 6\, July 4\, August 1\, September 5\, and October 3) from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Often defined as Earth’s “twin” due to similar size and mass\, the second planet of the Solar System actually conceals an extreme environment radically different from that of Earth. \nCharacterizing Venus is intense atmospheric activity dominated by a thick layer of carbon dioxide\, responsible for an uncontrolled greenhouse effect that keeps surface temperatures consistently above 450 °C. This dense cloud cover reflects most of the sunlight\, making the planet the brightest object in the night sky after the Moon\, but completely hiding its rocky surface from observation in visible light. \nFor astronomy enthusiasts\, observing Venus through the telescope offers insights of great historical and scientific interest. The main feature is the cycle of phases (similar to those of the Moon)\, the discovery of which by Galileo Galilei was crucial in demonstrating the heliocentric model. Venus goes from a small nearly full disk when far from the Sun to a large and thin crescent when it approaches Earth. \n \nThis afternoon observation of Venus with the various telescopes at the Center will give us an opportunity to discover how\, quoting Galileo\, the Mother of Loves\, Venus\, mimics the figures of Cynthia\, the Moon  and will be followed by a conference led by Paolo D’Incà of the Rheticus board\, supported by spectacular images and videos of the planet. \n \nSATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 19\, 2026 at 9 p.m. at the Arson Astronomical Center \nTHE SPANISH ECLIPSE \nimages and stories from the Feltrino expedition (Rheticus staff) \n“The appointment with the greatest show in the world is set for August 12\, 2026: the first total solar eclipse to sweep across continental European soil in over a quarter of a century. Choosing to travel to the plateau south of Burgos proves to be the perfect choice to dodge the Atlantic clouds. In the late afternoon\, a silent crowd of amateur astronomers\, photographers\, and travelers from the province of Belluno gather among the golden fields of already harvested wheat. The tripod of telescopes parades in solemn procession\, while the lenses covered by special filters reflect the warm tones of the setting sun. The hot peak of August in the Castilian meseta dissipates into an almost mystical anticipation as the clock approaches the early hours of the evening…” \nThis is how the appointment begins\, leading to a sensation of temporal suspension that is impossible to describe\, the wait for a cobalt blue twilight to descend across the sky of Spain at 360 degrees along the horizon and the invisible Moon to completely obscure the Sovereign of the day… \nBut before this\, there is much more\, a scientific premise that must be illustrated. If the phenomenon of the solar eclipse represents one of the most fascinating spectacles that celestial mechanics can offer\, we know that it is based on precise mathematical principles\, orbital dynamics\, and phenomena of interaction between light and matter. Rheticus staff will discuss all of this in detail in the first part of this meeting\, which will be followed\, with a mix of joviality and emotion\, by the telling of what happened in Iberian land through the eyes and heart of those present. \nAt 9 p.m.\, before our chat\, we will have the chance to observe and admire through the Center’s telescopes a beautiful waxing Moon in the best observable conditions\, clearly highlighting the craters Plato\, Tycho\, Clavius\, and Aristoteles. \nIn case of bad weather\, the demonstration will take place entirely in the planetarium.

DESCRIPTION:Cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi \nThe cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi and the Franciscans\, in the 800 years since the death of the saint\, develop in the City of Feltre and its immediate surroundings due to the numerous traces that are preserved there\, both in places of worship and in some historical sites of the citadel and in areas extra moenia. Among the main stops of the itinerary are the Co-cathedral of Feltre\, which houses altars and altarpieces\, fragments of frescoes\, sculptures\, and relics linked to the Franciscan saints\, or works coming from ancient convents of the Friars Minor or Conventuals (such as that of Santa Maria del Prato)\, the church of San Giacomo Maggiore\, on via Mezza­terra (which preserves works from the vanished convent of Santo Spirito)\, the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Borgo Tezze\, founded along with its convent of Poor Clare nuns by the friar Bernardino Tomitano from Feltre\, the church of the Sacred Heart on via Belluno\, which was built by the Franciscans more recently (20th century)\, along with the convent complex. Lastly\, the Shrine of Saints Vittore and Corona on Mount Miesna (Anzù)\, with images and architectures that recall the brotherhood of the Saint of Assisi. \nAmong the other historical buildings and city museums containing Franciscan memories – which will be visited during the paths – the Diocesan Museum Belluno-Feltre is noteworthy\, hosting important works depicting Saint Francis and Saint Clare\, as well as wooden and stone elements coming from vanished city convents. The Modern Art Gallery “Carlo Rizzarda” will also be a fundamental stop on the urban trek\, where one can admire the splendid wrought iron candelabrum by the teacher from Feltre with Franciscan saints; there\, the thematic exhibition that hosts paintings from the Civic Museum of via Luzzo will also be explained. SUMMARY:National Championship A.N.A. Mountain Bike
DESCRIPTION:On September 5 and 6\, 2026\, Cesiomaggiore\, in the Belluno area\, will be at the center of an important sports and community event with the 9th ANA Mountain Bike Championship. \n Two days in which sports\, alpine tradition\, and promotion of the territory will come together thanks to the organization of the Alpine Group of Cesiomaggiore and the ANA Section of Feltre. \n  The event will have its operational heart in the Pradenich area\, where numerous moments of the event will be concentrated\, from race operations to ceremonies\, and including the convivial moments that will accompany athletes\, participants\, and companions.  The competition will unfold on two courses\, designed to challenge the competitors with different characteristics and difficulties.  \nCourse A\, the long one\, measures 21 kilometers and has an overall elevation gain of about 1\,000 meters. This will be the most demanding course\, and especially the one valid for awarding the title of ANA National Champion in mountain biking. \nCourse B\, the short one\, develops for 13 kilometers\, with an elevation gain of 450 meters\, offering a more contained challenge but still requiring preparation and technical skills. \nHowever\, the ANA Championship will not be just a competition. \n The event indeed arises from the meeting of sports and community spirit\, providing Cesiomaggiore with the opportunity to showcase its territory and welcome athletes and representatives from alpine communities coming from different parts of Italy. \n Two days of sports\, alpine tradition\, and challenges

Awards ceremony at 3:00 p.m. at the headquarters of the Pro Loco of Farra d’Alpago. \nOn Saturday\, September 5\, 2026\, the 1st “Dolci della Conca dell’Alpago” Contest will take place\, an initiative dedicated to pastry enthusiasts and local traditional recipes. \nParticipation is open to all amateur dessert lovers. Each competitor may present only one dessert\, strictly homemade\, to which a name must be assigned. The preparation must involve the use of at least two local ingredients\, highlighted in the recipe. \nThe desserts must weigh between 800 g and 1 kg and be delivered on Saturday\, September 5\, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.\, at the IAT of Farra d’Alpago on Viale al Lago. \nA jury will evaluate the preparations considering aesthetic appearance\, structure and balance\, preparation techniques\, tradition and creativity\, as well as the use of local bellunese products. \nThe awards ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Pro Loco headquarters in Farra d’Alpago\, with the announcement of the top three winners. SUMMARY:Iran beyond the gaze of women
DESCRIPTION:Staff of Samereh Sagheb \nSince 2016\, she has been living in Italy\, where she has found a space for her voice to finally breathe\, where her artistic soul can take shape. She graduated in English language and literature in her home country and is currently a master’s student in language sciences at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. Since 2023\, she has dedicated herself to painting as a self-taught artist\, driven by an inner urgency she could no longer ignore: to give light and color to the stories of brave Iranian women and\, more generally\, to all women who fight every day for their rights and dignity. \nHer art is a silent yet powerful dialogue\, a language made of shades and emotions that speaks of resistance\, hope\, and freedom. She began painting thanks to a small suitcase of colors\, a gift from her partner\, which ignited in her the courage to follow a passion she had long feared to explore. Each brushstroke is an act of freedom\, each color a tribute to the voices that deserve to be heard. \nThere is so much in the works of Samereh Sagheb. There are gazes that traverse\, with lips closed and eyelids lowered\, never in surrender. There are gazes that lead elsewhere. There are choices and waits suspended between the past and the future. There are strong symbols: the mask of impositions\, the angel\, and the key to our inner resources. There is poetry embodied in images. There are many women and together one sole journey towards a freedom that is first liberation. There is the autobiographical narrative\, but also the universal experience of every confined and discriminated woman. There are things that are difficult to leave behind\, the limitations of moral policing\, the silent gestures of rebellion (showing wrists\, allowing a few strands of hair to escape from the veil). DESCRIPTION:Review of Iranian artists. \nWinds from the East – Venti di Levante is a cultural showcase that intertwines visual arts\, music\, and workshops to give voice to the contemporary Iranian artistic landscape. Through perspective and material\, the project aims to serve as a space for shared reflection on themes of memory\, body\, identity\, and social transformations. \nThe pathway opens at the Library of Trichiana with the solo exhibition of Samereh Sagheb\, an exhibition titled Iran | Beyond the Gaze of Women\, enriched by an in-depth meeting designed to overcome stereotypes and penetrate the complexity of the female experience. \nAt the Palace of the Countesses\, the conceptual and multidisciplinary research of Nasser Teymourpour comes to life\, whose work transforms matter into a space of tension between official narratives and individual experience. \nAlongside the exhibition\, the same palace hosts the artistic workshop led by the RIWAR collective (Body | Memory | Narrative)\, an open workshop of dialogue and experimentation where participants explore their own stories\, transforming them into visual expression. \nFinally\, the Auditorium of San Pietro a Mel welcomes the evocative music of Alireza Mortazavi in the concert The Lost Persia\, a sonic journey entrusted to the vibrations of the santur capable of stitching together ancient traditions and contemporary sensibilities.
