Life in the alpine pasture with the animals. \nPresentation of the Literary Competition “Sospirolo among legends and mysteries” \nFriday\, September 4\, 2026\, at 8:30 p.m. \nat the Ethnographic Museum Dolomiti di Seravella. \n \nThe Pro loco Monti del Sole of Sospirolo\, in close collaboration with the Municipality of Sospirolo-Civic Library\, participates again this year in Mystery Shows with events centered around life in the alpine pasture with the animals that include the literary competition – XVII edition – a guided and animated walk among the casere-majolere of Sospirolo at the foot of Mount Sperone\, an evening of Filò with pasture farmers and boce and a photographic exhibition of alpine pastures loaded by sospirolesi in the last century\, including several located in Agordino\, particularly in Val del Biois at Passi Valles and San Pellegrino. \n \nThe presentation will be hosted\, as in the last edition\, by the Provincial Ethnographic Museum Dolomiti di Seravella (Cesiomaggiore) in conversation with the Union Ladina Val Biois focused on the book “The alpine pastures yesterday and today of the grazing area of the valley of Biois\, Passi Valles and San Pellegrino” published by the Union Ladina Val Biois – Biblioteca del Biois 6 – \nThe connection to Sospirolo is soon said\, the names of the sospirolesi Erminio\, Arcangelo\, and Rodolfo Cadore are still known in the Agordina valley as in the last century they tended several alpine pastures in the area: Malga de Mez\, Malga Valles Alto and up to Malga Pradazzo and Malga Vallazza\, then to Malga ai Zingari Bassi and Alti\, Malga Campo d’Orso on San Pellegrin\, at Salcine\, and also at Malga all’Alpe di Lusia. Some still remember when the rodolaresse\, women and girls from Sospirolo\, would be heard singing “A la moda de Sospiroi” on the grassy slopes during work in the haymaking period. \n \nA presentation of the literary competition “Sospirolo among legends and mysteries” 2026\, curated by Alba Barattin\, will follow. \nExtract from the Regulations: \n\nSubject of the competition: unpublished short stories focusing on the theme of pastoral life in the mountains\, understood in the plurality of its social and economic aspects\, its rhythms\, rites\, and traditions\, and in the perspective of the special bond that is established between its protagonists\, humans and animals.\nThe competition is aimed at those born and/or residing in the Triveneto. Participation is free.\nTwo sections are provided: A- Individuals from 6 to 14 years old inclusive or group school works (entire class or groups of students from primary and lower secondary schools); B- Participants from 15 years old.\nEach competitor\, individual or group\, may participate with one unpublished story in Italian\, complete with title\, with a maximum length of 8000 characters\, including spaces. Eating disorders between literature and prevention. \nI want to feel the snow: a tale of struggle and rebirth against eating disorders. \nThe Municipality of Fonzaso\, through the Civic Library\, promotes the meeting “Body\, identity\, and fragility”: eating disorders between literature and prevention\,” an evening dedicated to reflecting on one of the most widespread and complex issues of our time\, capable of intertwining psychological\, relational\, social\, and cultural aspects. \nThe focus of the meeting will be the presentation of the autobiographical novel “I want to feel the snow” by Cristina Lora\, an intense and profoundly authentic work that describes the troubled journey of a young woman grappling with an eating disorder experienced during adolescence. \nThrough an intimate and rhetoric-free narrative\, the author takes the reader into a dark universe filled with silences\, fears\, feelings of inadequacy\, and an obsessive search for control\, showing how the relationship with food often ends up representing the most evident symptom of a deep discomfort. \nIn the book\, the body becomes the place where inexpressible emotions\, inner fragilities\, and identity conflicts manifest\, simultaneously recalling the desire to return to perceiving emotions\, the world\, and oneself without the filter of pathology. \nCompleting the reflection will be the contributions of Virginia Giuffrida\, President of the Margherita Fenice Association of Belluno\, and Psychologist Federico Caforio\, who will provide a detailed overview of the phenomenon in the context of the Province of Belluno\, also highlighting the numerous activities that the association has been carrying out for years to support individuals and their families\, focusing in particular on the many prevention\, education\, and awareness projects developed in schools. \nThrough the autobiographical account and the contributions of professionals working daily in the field\, the evening will offer tools to read the phenomenon of eating disorders with greater depth\, aiming to promote a culture of prevention based on listening\, information\, and the care of human relationships.

The performance takes its name from the author’s latest publication\, Notepad for postcard writers: greetings and kisses from never (Kellermann\, 2026)\, and spans a broader repertoire that includes texts from The Lost Children (Einaudi\, 2023) and unpublished compositions. \nPoetry and music meet in a dimension suspended between dream\, irony\, and imagination. Accompanying the reading\, the sounds of Eros Viel’s organ\, with a repertoire that ranges from Shostakovich to the Beatles\, including Noir Désir and Norwegian folk songs. A tribute also to Captain Nemo from Jules Verne and his legendary journey aboard the Nautilus: a performance “rich in sparks and poetry\,” capable of transporting the audience into a dreamy dimension. \nFree admission. Often defined as Earth’s “twin” due to similar size and mass\, the second planet of the Solar System actually conceals an extreme environment radically different from that of Earth. \nCharacterizing Venus is intense atmospheric activity dominated by a thick layer of carbon dioxide\, responsible for an uncontrolled greenhouse effect that keeps surface temperatures consistently above 450 °C. This dense cloud cover reflects most of the sunlight\, making the planet the brightest object in the night sky after the Moon\, but completely hiding its rocky surface from observation in visible light. \nFor astronomy enthusiasts\, observing Venus through the telescope offers insights of great historical and scientific interest. The main feature is the cycle of phases (similar to those of the Moon)\, the discovery of which by Galileo Galilei was crucial in demonstrating the heliocentric model. Venus goes from a small nearly full disk when far from the Sun to a large and thin crescent when it approaches Earth. \n \nThis afternoon observation of Venus with the various telescopes at the Center will give us an opportunity to discover how\, quoting Galileo\, the Mother of Loves\, Venus\, mimics the figures of Cynthia\, the Moon  and will be followed by a conference led by Paolo D’Incà of the Rheticus board\, supported by spectacular images and videos of the planet. \n \nSATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 19\, 2026 at 9 p.m. at the Arson Astronomical Center \nTHE SPANISH ECLIPSE \nimages and stories from the Feltrino expedition (Rheticus staff) \n“The appointment with the greatest show in the world is set for August 12\, 2026: the first total solar eclipse to sweep across continental European soil in over a quarter of a century. Choosing to travel to the plateau south of Burgos proves to be the perfect choice to dodge the Atlantic clouds. In the late afternoon\, a silent crowd of amateur astronomers\, photographers\, and travelers from the province of Belluno gather among the golden fields of already harvested wheat. The tripod of telescopes parades in solemn procession\, while the lenses covered by special filters reflect the warm tones of the setting sun. DESCRIPTION:Cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi \nThe cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi and the Franciscans\, in the 800 years since the death of the saint\, develop in the City of Feltre and its immediate surroundings due to the numerous traces that are preserved there\, both in places of worship and in some historical sites of the citadel and in areas extra moenia. Among the main stops of the itinerary are the Co-cathedral of Feltre\, which houses altars and altarpieces\, fragments of frescoes\, sculptures\, and relics linked to the Franciscan saints\, or works coming from ancient convents of the Friars Minor or Conventuals (such as that of Santa Maria del Prato)\, the church of San Giacomo Maggiore\, on via Mezza­terra (which preserves works from the vanished convent of Santo Spirito)\, the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Borgo Tezze\, founded along with its convent of Poor Clare nuns by the friar Bernardino Tomitano from Feltre\, the church of the Sacred Heart on via Belluno\, which was built by the Franciscans more recently (20th century)\, along with the convent complex. Lastly\, the Shrine of Saints Vittore and Corona on Mount Miesna (Anzù)\, with images and architectures that recall the brotherhood of the Saint of Assisi. \nAmong the other historical buildings and city museums containing Franciscan memories – which will be visited during the paths – the Diocesan Museum Belluno-Feltre is noteworthy\, hosting important works depicting Saint Francis and Saint Clare\, as well as wooden and stone elements coming from vanished city convents. The Modern Art Gallery “Carlo Rizzarda” will also be a fundamental stop on the urban trek\, where one can admire the splendid wrought iron candelabrum by the teacher from Feltre with Franciscan saints; there\, the thematic exhibition that hosts paintings from the Civic Museum of via Luzzo will also be explained. DESCRIPTION:On September 5 and 6\, 2026\, Cesiomaggiore\, in the Belluno area\, will be at the center of an important sports and community event with the 9th ANA Mountain Bike Championship. \n Two days in which sports\, alpine tradition\, and promotion of the territory will come together thanks to the organization of the Alpine Group of Cesiomaggiore and the ANA Section of Feltre. \n  The event will have its operational heart in the Pradenich area\, where numerous moments of the event will be concentrated\, from race operations to ceremonies\, and including the convivial moments that will accompany athletes\, participants\, and companions.  The competition will unfold on two courses\, designed to challenge the competitors with different characteristics and difficulties.  \nCourse A\, the long one\, measures 21 kilometers and has an overall elevation gain of about 1\,000 meters. This will be the most demanding course\, and especially the one valid for awarding the title of ANA National Champion in mountain biking. \nCourse B\, the short one\, develops for 13 kilometers\, with an elevation gain of 450 meters\, offering a more contained challenge but still requiring preparation and technical skills. \nHowever\, the ANA Championship will not be just a competition. \n The event indeed arises from the meeting of sports and community spirit\, providing Cesiomaggiore with the opportunity to showcase its territory and welcome athletes and representatives from alpine communities coming from different parts of Italy. \n Two days of sports\, alpine tradition\, and challenges

DESCRIPTION:Summer Review \nThe program of Valmorel under the Stars continues\, which between August and September offers a series of events dedicated to documentaries\, dissemination\, and culture. \nThe first meeting is scheduled for wednesday\, august 5\, at 8.30 p.m.\, at the Elserino Piol ETS Foundation\, with the screening of the documentary “Elserino Piol\, the dream of an enterprise” by Mirco Melanco\, dedicated to the figure of the Belluno entrepreneur and his innovative vision. \nThe subsequent events will instead be hosted at the Nature and Culture Center “Al Vejò“. \nIt continues on friday\, august 7\, at 8.30 p.m.\, with ABCD Emergency\, a meeting organized by the Emergency Belluno Group. \nwednesday\, august 12\, also at 8.30 p.m.\, the documentary “Biography of an Artist – Brio”\, made by Mirco Melanco and dedicated to the life and work of the artist Roberto Brio Bristot\, will be presented. \nThe review will continue on wednesday\, august 19\, at 8.30 p.m.\, with the docufilm “Limana\, Paths of the Soul” by Gianni Frescura\, a journey through history\, landscape\, and identity of the territory. \nClosing the calendar will be the Writing Workshop\, scheduled for september 5 and 6\, dedicated to those who wish to deepen their writing through a training and creative path.

DESCRIPTION:On September 5\, starting at 8:00 p.m.\, Baita Tovena\, in Bolzano Bellunese\, hosts Cosmo In Fermento\, a special event of Ardo in Fermento dedicated to observing the sky. In collaboration with the Gruppo Astrofili Belluno\, the evening will guide the audience in discovering the celestial vault\, in an experience enriched by live sound in quadrophony curated by Il Terzo Mondo Studio. \nDuring the event\, it will also be possible to taste a selection of wines from the producers that accompanied the festival in the previous months. \nParticipation is free\, with limited seating.
