SUMMARY:Parco archeologico di Noal
DESCRIPTION:It has been there for 3300 years\, a small witness of the era of great European archaeological sites. \nVisiting the ancient site of Noàl\, today Archaeological Park\, means rewinding the tape of time and returning to the Bronze Age\, the Iron Age\, and the Middle Ages. A place of evocative beauty\, between the Piave and Cordevole rivers\, Noàl has witnessed the succession of peoples and metallurgical innovations\, empires\, and warrior bishops. \nToday\, thanks to a long process of research and rediscovery\, the archaeological park of Noàl fully restores the mystery and energy of millennia of history and legends: it is enough to close your eyes to imagine the first blacksmiths at work\, medieval music\, and songs. \nTo relive the history of Noàl\, within the Park there is an educational path equipped with panels illustrating the history of the place\, the research\, the findings\, and indicating the layers of different periods of the fortified settlement/castle. \nAt the top of the tower\, built to a height similar to the ancient one to protect its remains\, with a panoramic view of 360° over the valley and the peaks of the Belluno Dolomites Park\, is the educational classroom\, equipped with display cases housing perfect replicas of the found artifacts\, explanatory panels\, and panoramic panels to survey and identify the ancient network of castles\, protohistoric settlements\, lookout towers\, the main peaks of the surrounding mountains\, the villages\, the Piave\, and the Cordevole. \nIt is recommended to bring a windbreaker or a sweatshirt (the tower can have a cool breeze). \nIn case of bad weather\, visits will be canceled. \nFor group visits (+10 people)\, it is always necessary to book at this address giannidv42@gmail.com to agree on the timing. \nGuided tours of the archaeological park of Noal with the opening of the tower.

SUMMARY:Corpo\, identità\, fragilità
DESCRIPTION:Information eveningBody\, identity\, and fragility. Eating disorders between literature and prevention. \nI want to feel the snow: a tale of struggle and rebirth against eating disorders. \nThe Municipality of Fonzaso\, through the Civic Library\, promotes the meeting “Body\, identity\, and fragility”: eating disorders between literature and prevention\,” an evening dedicated to reflecting on one of the most widespread and complex issues of our time\, capable of intertwining psychological\, relational\, social\, and cultural aspects. \nThe focus of the meeting will be the presentation of the autobiographical novel “I want to feel the snow” by Cristina Lora\, an intense and profoundly authentic work that describes the troubled journey of a young woman grappling with an eating disorder experienced during adolescence. \nThrough an intimate and rhetoric-free narrative\, the author takes the reader into a dark universe filled with silences\, fears\, feelings of inadequacy\, and an obsessive search for control\, showing how the relationship with food often ends up representing the most evident symptom of a deep discomfort. \nIn the book\, the body becomes the place where inexpressible emotions\, inner fragilities\, and identity conflicts manifest\, simultaneously recalling the desire to return to perceiving emotions\, the world\, and oneself without the filter of pathology. \nCompleting the reflection will be the contributions of Virginia Giuffrida\, President of the Margherita Fenice Association of Belluno\, and Psychologist Federico Caforio\, who will provide a detailed overview of the phenomenon in the context of the Province of Belluno\, also highlighting the numerous activities that the association has been carrying out for years to support individuals and their families\, focusing in particular on the many prevention\, education\, and awareness projects developed in schools. \nThrough the autobiographical account and the contributions of professionals working daily in the field\, the evening will offer tools to read the phenomenon of eating disorders with greater depth\, aiming to promote a culture of prevention based on listening\, information\, and the care of human relationships.

SUMMARY:Saluti e baci dal mai – Spettacolo poetico di Roberta Durante
DESCRIPTION:A poetic show by and with Roberta Durante\, accompanied by Eros Viel on the Barberia accordion. Words\, music\, and suggestions intertwine in an ironic and dreamlike journey through poetry\, dreams\, and imagination. \n“Greetings and kisses from never” is a poetic performance by and with Roberta Durante\, accompanied by Eros Viel on the Barberia organ. The performance takes its name from the author’s latest publication\, Notepad for postcard writers: greetings and kisses from never (Kellermann\, 2026)\, and spans a broader repertoire that includes texts from The Lost Children (Einaudi\, 2023) and unpublished compositions. \nPoetry and music meet in a dimension suspended between dream\, irony\, and imagination. Accompanying the reading\, the sounds of Eros Viel’s organ\, with a repertoire that ranges from Shostakovich to the Beatles\, including Noir Désir and Norwegian folk songs. A tribute also to Captain Nemo from Jules Verne and his legendary journey aboard the Nautilus: a performance “rich in sparks and poetry\,” capable of transporting the audience into a dreamy dimension. \nFree admission. The event is part of the regional initiative Il Veneto legge – Veneto Books.

SUMMARY:Settembre a Starson
DESCRIPTION:Entry €5\, free for members in good standing with the 2026 renewal and children up to 11 years old.  \nReservation is not necessary. Timeliness is recommended. \nFor more info\, consult the page www.rheticus.it \n Events at the Astronomical Observatory \nSATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 5\, 2026 at 5.30 p.m. at the Arson Astronomical Center \nVENUS AT THE TELESCOPE: DISCOVERING THE INFERNAL TWIN OF EARTH  – Paolo D’Incà – (Rheticus) \n \n“Pearl star in the veil of dusk\, mantle of clouds concealing hell: the purest light of the serene sky guards a fire of love and eternal. The cold ocular dial turns: the eye rests in the lens’s circle. And suddenly you see it tremble\, an elegant crescent soaring in the dark…” \nVisible as a bright star at twilight and dawn\, Venus continues to represent one of the most fascinating and complex subjects for amateur and scientific astronomical observation. Often defined as Earth’s “twin” due to similar size and mass\, the second planet of the Solar System actually conceals an extreme environment radically different from that of Earth. \nCharacterizing Venus is intense atmospheric activity dominated by a thick layer of carbon dioxide\, responsible for an uncontrolled greenhouse effect that keeps surface temperatures consistently above 450 °C. This dense cloud cover reflects most of the sunlight\, making the planet the brightest object in the night sky after the Moon\, but completely hiding its rocky surface from observation in visible light. \nFor astronomy enthusiasts\, observing Venus through the telescope offers insights of great historical and scientific interest. The main feature is the cycle of phases (similar to those of the Moon)\, the discovery of which by Galileo Galilei was crucial in demonstrating the heliocentric model. Venus goes from a small nearly full disk when far from the Sun to a large and thin crescent when it approaches Earth. \n \nThis afternoon observation of Venus with the various telescopes at the Center will give us an opportunity to discover how\, quoting Galileo\, the Mother of Loves\, Venus\, mimics the figures of Cynthia\, the Moon  and will be followed by a conference led by Paolo D’Incà of the Rheticus board\, supported by spectacular images and videos of the planet. \n \nSATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 19\, 2026 at 9 p.m. at the Arson Astronomical Center \nTHE SPANISH ECLIPSE \nimages and stories from the Feltrino expedition (Rheticus staff) \n“The appointment with the greatest show in the world is set for August 12\, 2026: the first total solar eclipse to sweep across continental European soil in over a quarter of a century. Choosing to travel to the plateau south of Burgos proves to be the perfect choice to dodge the Atlantic clouds. In the late afternoon\, a silent crowd of amateur astronomers\, photographers\, and travelers from the province of Belluno gather among the golden fields of already harvested wheat. The tripod of telescopes parades in solemn procession\, while the lenses covered by special filters reflect the warm tones of the setting sun. The hot peak of August in the Castilian meseta dissipates into an almost mystical anticipation as the clock approaches the early hours of the evening…” \nThis is how the appointment begins\, leading to a sensation of temporal suspension that is impossible to describe\, the wait for a cobalt blue twilight to descend across the sky of Spain at 360 degrees along the horizon and the invisible Moon to completely obscure the Sovereign of the day… \nBut before this\, there is much more\, a scientific premise that must be illustrated. If the phenomenon of the solar eclipse represents one of the most fascinating spectacles that celestial mechanics can offer\, we know that it is based on precise mathematical principles\, orbital dynamics\, and phenomena of interaction between light and matter. Rheticus staff will discuss all of this in detail in the first part of this meeting\, which will be followed\, with a mix of joviality and emotion\, by the telling of what happened in Iberian land through the eyes and heart of those present. \nAt 9 p.m.\, before our chat\, we will have the chance to observe and admire through the Center’s telescopes a beautiful waxing Moon in the best observable conditions\, clearly highlighting the craters Plato\, Tycho\, Clavius\, and Aristoteles. \nIn case of bad weather\, the demonstration will take place entirely in the planetarium.
