DESCRIPTION:At the entrance of the museum\, visitors are welcomed by a small charming nativity scene\, set up as an introduction to the exhibition “The Sledge Between Tradition\, Play\, and Competition\,” dedicated to the world of sledding\, which will be inaugurated at the end of January. A first taste of an exhibition path that tells the story of play\, movement\, and winter life of the past. \nNext to the nativity scene\, there is also a special Christmas tree\, designed as a place for sharing: all visitors are invited to hang their own memories related to snow\, sledding\, and the emotions experienced during the winters of their childhood. A simple gesture that transforms the museum into a living space\, made of personal stories and collective memory. \nAmong the scheduled events\, on Saturday\, December 27\, 2025\, there will be two sessions of free themed guided tours at 3:00 PM and 4:15 PM\, titled “Winters of Old Times.” The tours\, organized by the Folklore Group of Cesiomaggiore and Isoipse\, will offer an in-depth look at the winter traditions of the past. This will be the moment when\, due to the lower atmospheric turbulence\, it will be possible to see it best through the telescope. The planet will be framed with all the telescopes of the Center\, and with the large Dobson\, it will also be possible to see some of its faint satellites.  \nIt will also be possible to observe the Moon\, around the first quarter\, with especially visible features from north to south\, such as the Vallis Alpina\, the craters Archimedes\, Autolycus\, and Aristillus\, the Caucasus and Apennine Mountains\, and the craters Ptolomaeus\, Alphonsus\, and Arzachel\, Purbach\, Regiomontanus\, and Walther. DESCRIPTION:Mattmark disaster show \n  \nOn the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Mattmark disaster\, an event that occurred on August 30\, 1965\, in Switzerland\, causing one of the most serious workplace tragedies involving Italian emigrants\, especially from the Belluno area\, The Bellunesi Association in The World aims to remember what happened through an immersive exhibition composed of photographs\, documents\, films\, and video interviews with survivors and family members of the victims. \nDuring the construction of the largest dam in Europe\, a massive chunk of ice from the Allalin glacier (about two million cubic meters) broke off and overwhelmed the workers’ accommodations\, causing 88 deaths\, of which 56 were Italians and 17 were from Belluno. The last body was found two years later. The warning signs had been ignored\, but in the trials of 1972\, all the defendants were acquitted\, and the victims’ families even had to pay half of the legal costs. A tragedy without justice that profoundly marked the collective memory of the area. \nAn exhibition to understand what happened from the voice of those who were there\, from the words of those who saw their lives change in that disaster.
