Among relatives and friends   a game of provocation and truth begins that expands to become the portrait of a generation: between petty meanness and great feelings.    \nOne evening like many others among five forty-year-olds. Besides the hosts\, there is her    brother who is a real estate agent and his partner who is late   because of a work commitment with some Japanese\, while the single friend   (suspected of being homosexual) is a trombonist in a symphony orchestra.  \nThat evening\, the brother announces to the group that he is going to be   a father. DESCRIPTION:“The relevance of a metamorphosis” is a temporary exhibition of object books\, created by the Belluno artists Flavio Da Rold\, Alfonso Lentini\, and Giorgio Vazza\, where books lose their function as vehicles of knowledge and become works of art that can be admired on the noble floor of Palazzo Doglioni. The exhibition is part of the series “Books on Rafts” \n“The Relevance of a Metamorphosis” presents books as objects created by Flavio Da Rold\, Alfonso Lentini\, and Giorgio Vazza\, artists residing in Belluno and active at the national and international level in this important sector of contemporary art. \nThe book as an object is a form of art whose origins date back to Futurism and the avant-garde movements of the twentieth century\, but it remains a lively and vibrant reality today. \nIntertwined with other modes of verbo-visual experimentation such as visual poetry or asemic writing\, this particular line of research clearly differs from the traditional “artist’s book” as it removes the book from its specific function\, renders it “illegible\,” and converts it into an autonomous work of art. \nBy subjecting the book to metamorphoses\, hybridizations\, and distortions\, artists from all over the world have created original and startling works to be enjoyed with an open gaze free from schematics. \nBooks as objects have been produced by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti\, Fortunato Depero\, Bruno Munari\, Enrico Baj\, Emilio Isgrò\, Irma Blank\, Giosetta Fioroni\, Maria Lai\, Mirella Bentivoglio\, Yoko Ono\, Guy Debord\, Joseph Kosuth\, Sol LeWitt\, and many others. \nToday\, with the advent of digital technology\, communication is dematerializing\, and the printed book is no longer\, as it has been for centuries\, the primary means of transmitting knowledge.  \nAn artistic operation that places the material component of the book at its center is therefore very current because\, by performing a metamorphosis that transforms the book into a work of art\, it focuses attention on its physical structure and initiates a reflection on the other ongoing transformations in the world of communication. \nFlavio Da Rold was born in 1945 in Belluno\, where he lives and works. In the early 1970s\, he attended the studio of artist Antonio Bassetto\, where he trained as a painter. After various abstract and informal experiences in painting\, his artistic research shifted toward the field of installation.  \nUsing natural materials such as wood\, iron\, and concrete\, along with a constant presence of color\, he creates three-dimensional works that always interact with space\, time\, and memory\, aiming to establish a correct and balanced relationship between art and territory.  \nThroughout his research\, he has also created numerous books as objects. In the late 1980s\, he was one of the founders of the “ZED group” and subsequently of the “ALTA QUOTA” group\, with which he participated in important events including the Venice Biennale.  \nHe was one of the founders of the contemporary art exhibition “Portici Inattuali\,” which took place in Sitran d’Alpago from 1989 to 2001. \nAlfonso Lentini (Favara\, 1951) was formed in the atmosphere of the Sicilian neo-avant-gardes of the late twentieth century.  \nSince the late 1970s\, he has lived in Belluno. His activity spans from the visual arts to writing.  \nIn his numerous exhibitions and installations held in Italy and abroad\, he presents books as objects\, verbo-visual and asemic writings\, artists’ books\, and generally works based on the valorization of words in their material and gestural dimensions. His first solo exhibition dates back to 1976.  \nAs part of a collective project on poetry curated by Marco Nereo Rotelli\, he participated in the 49th Venice Biennale in 2001. In 2013\, together with Aurelio Fort\, he created the international artistic project “Resist to Re/exist\,” culminating in a large urban installation in the streets and squares of Belluno.  \nHis most recent book is “We are the Wolf-Fish” (pièdimosca editions 2023). \nGiorgio Vazza (Longarone\, 1952) lives in Sitran d’Alpago BL. His research develops through drawing\, painting\, installations\, land art\, and books as objects. He was among the artistic directors of the contemporary art exhibition “Portici Inattuali” (Sitran 1989-2001).  \nHe is present in significant artistic events in Italy and abroad\, including the “46th International Art Biennale of Venice” (1995)\, “Topolò Station” (Topolò\, UD 1994 and 1997)\, “Humus Park” (PN 2014 and 2016 with F. Da Rold).  \nIn 2001\, he conceived and created the installation DNA Shell Cathedral with artists Da Rold and Ricci\, inaugurated at the Belluno Hospital by Nobel Prize winner Rita Levi Montalcini.  \nIn 2023\, he realized the official image for the 27th edition of the festival “Beyond the Peaks\,” where he presents his solo exhibition Reflected Places. Pierobon of Paiane. \nLina and Bianca are two not-so-young sisters\, owners of a haberdashery inherited from their parents.They live a claustrophobic life in a location on the outskirts of Belluno\, trying to keep their shop afloat\, now surrounded by the rules of commercial globalization.Lina still dreams of a different life and sometimes wishes to escape the sclerotic and frugal routine\, bordering on stinginess\, that she imposes on her sister.Bianca\, on the other hand\, thinks only about keeping the “shop” running\, frustrating every attempt at change by her sister. Here you can admire a precious and mysterious (hospital/convent?) isolated building\, of which many are unaware of its existence\, but which was likely located along a route frequented by pilgrims and travelers. DESCRIPTION:“Numbers in the forest. Mathematics reveals itself through illustrations” is an exhibition of illustrations created by Marco Trevisan to compile his book titled “Numbers in the forest”.  \nThe innovative publication successfully translates into images the concept of prime and composite numbers\, making learning a playful\, engaging\, and intuitive experience.  \nIn the space from Rosalina\, it will be possible to appreciate the boards created for the book.  \nMarco Trevisan\, born in Belluno in 1984\, spent entire days as a child collecting twisted branches\, rusty screws\, broken clocks\, and other interesting things that were then transformed into bizarre objects of uncertain shape and certain uselessness.  \nThe desire to play with useless things followed him to university\, where he chose to graduate in Mathematics.  \nDuring his university years\, he attended some illustration courses and has since been seeking a dialogue between these two apparently contrasting worlds.  \nHe is also the author of the book “He who seeks finds” while his collaborations as an illustrator can be found in the books “Anything is possible” by Giulia Belloni\, “Gaia’s fears” by Zak Baldisserotto and “UNESCO Italy – the journey of wonders” by Veronica Zanirato. \nThe exhibition is part of the “Books on Raft” series and will be open for visits on the days 12-13-19-20 April from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:30 to 16:30.  \nFor more information\, write to segreteria@borgopiaveetc.it \n Under the care of the Borgo Piave Association ETC\, there will be an opportunity   to visit the illustration exhibition by Marco Trevisan entitled   “Numbers in the Woods. Mathematics reveals itself through illustrations” is an exhibition of illustrations created by Marco Trevisan to compile his book titled “Numbers in the forest”.  \nThe innovative publication successfully translates into images the concept of prime and composite numbers\, making learning a playful\, engaging\, and intuitive experience.  \nIn the space from Rosalina\, it will be possible to appreciate the boards created for the book.  \nMarco Trevisan\, born in Belluno in 1984\, spent entire days as a child collecting twisted branches\, rusty screws\, broken clocks\, and other interesting things that were then transformed into bizarre objects of uncertain shape and certain uselessness.  \nThe desire to play with useless things followed him to university\, where he chose to graduate in Mathematics.  \nDuring his university years\, he attended some illustration courses and has since been seeking a dialogue between these two apparently contrasting worlds.  \nHe is also the author of the book “He who seeks finds” while his collaborations as an illustrator can be found in the books “Anything is possible” by Giulia Belloni\, “Gaia’s fears” by Zak Baldisserotto and “UNESCO Italy – the journey of wonders” by Veronica Zanirato. \nThe exhibition is part of the “Books on Raft” series and will be open for visits on the days 12-13-19-20 April from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:30 to 16:30.  \nFor more information\, write to segreteria@borgopiaveetc.it \n Under the care of the Borgo Piave Association ETC\, there will be an opportunity   to visit the illustration exhibition by Marco Trevisan entitled   “Numbers in the Woods. DESCRIPTION:The Civic Library of Belluno\, in collaboration with the tour guide Marta Azzalini and the environmental guide Manolo Piat\, proposes the third edition of guided tours dedicated to the history of the castles and towers that stood in the Belluno area and the landscape of these places.Built in different eras\, they were the defensive bulwarks of the territory that\, in 1421\, were almost all swept away by the Venetian order to demolish the castles in the area subject to the dominion of the Serenissima. Scattered traces remain along with some towers that over the centuries have been transformed or have recently been restored. \nThe third visit\, on Saturday\, April 12\, will take place in Soverzene\, discovering the ancient watchtower dominating the Piave valley\, recently restored by the Municipality\, which can be reached via a beautiful scenic route in a totally mountainous and largely wooded area on the left bank of the Piave. DESCRIPTION:The pedestrian event returns in the surroundings of Frontin\, also in a competitive version! \nRegistration opens February 3\, 2025 https://sportdolomiti.it/  \nEleventh edition for the pedestrian event organized by the Frontin Fraction Group. \nTwo routes: \n\nTrail running of 12km both competitive and open pace (not stroller accessible)\n5km walking at open pace\n\nStart of the 12km at 9:30 am and at 9:45 am for the 5km from the square of Frontin in Borgo Valbelluna. \nThe registration fee on site is 12€ for the 12km and 8€ for the 5km\, online 10€ for the 12km and 6€ for the 5km\, free for children from 0 to 5 years. \nTechnical gadget from Alpenplus for the first 500 registrants\, gadgets and a rich refreshment at the finish for everyone. \nThe proceeds of the event will be used to reward all schools in Borgo Valbelluna with educational materials. \nAWARDS  \n\n12km top 10 overall male\n12km top 10 overall female\nUnder 6 male and female\nUnder 9 male and female\nUnder 14 male and female\nAwarding of school facilities\n\nRegistrations online at www.sportdolomiti.it

DESCRIPTION:Participation fee: €20.00 per person. \nFree for children under 10 years old. \n Mandatory reservation via WhatsApp at the number 366 2174058 \nThe Veneto Region is committed to promoting river tourism as a form of sustainable tourism offering\, where the appeal is based on the heritage of scenic\, natural\, historical\, cultural\, productive\, sporting\, and gastronomic resources that characterize the riverside communities. \nIn collaboration with the Regional Committee Unpli Veneto\, it invites everyone to experience the most picturesque corners of the regional territory to celebrate the Regional Day of River Tourism together. \nThe rafting proposal we offer starts from Sedico (BL)\, in the area of Bribano Bridge with access to the waters of the Cordevole River\, which after a few hundred meters\, flows into the Piave River. \nIt will be an experience that will allow visitors to feel the thrill of this discipline navigating the waters of the Piave River immersed in a surreal setting that in some ways resembles the great American rivers\, with the Belluno Dolomites towering on the horizon. \n A great opportunity to discover some environments outside the usual places of the wonderful Valbelluna\, especially because they are experienced from a different perspective. \n \n Experience Valbelluna by navigating the Piave dominated by the Belluno Dolomites
