DESCRIPTION:Open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. \nFree admission. \nReservation is not required. \nThe pre-Roman necropolis of Mel in Borgo Valbelluna will extraordinarily open to the public for the Mele a Mel festival\, on Saturday\, October 10 and Sunday\, October 11\, 2026\, it will be possible to access and visit the state archaeological area that preserves the monumental burial site of the Ancient Veneti.  \nA “city of the dead” among the oldest in Valbelluna and one of the few currently visitable in the entire Veneto region\, rediscovered thanks to excavations that began in 1958\, stands at the entrance of the village of Mel and allows us to learn about how the Paleoveneti lived and what their economic and social structure was. \nThe approximately 80 tombs found are inserted within 7 circles formed by slabs of sandstone driven into the ground in a vertical position. The ashes of the deceased were placed in ceramic or bronze urns along with some everyday objects inside polygonal boxes. Thus\, a sort of family tomb was formed. The urns and all the objects that accompanied the burials – ornaments and tools – are displayed in the rooms of the Civic Archaeological Museum located in the Palazzo delle Contesse in the square of Mel. \nThe Ancient Veneti or Paleoveneti were an Indo-European population that arrived in northeastern Italy after the middle of the 2nd millennium B.C. Through numerous archaeological excavations and related finds\, the history and identity of this population have been reconstructed over the years. The Veneti initially settled in the area between Lake Garda and the Euganean Hills and later expanded to Adria (RO) to the south and to the Tagliamento River to the east. \nFree entry.  \n \nExtraordinary opening to the public.

To choose a place\, something more is needed: fundamental are  the relationships one manages to build around oneself.  \nThat is why\, within the PRIMAVERA CASA project – a project aimed at reopening  unused houses in Valbelluna to make them available to new inhabitants\, young people\, workers –  the widespread event TROVARSI was born.  \nA lot of outings to discover the territory\, to build relationships while walking. The 12 outings of TROVARSI AL SOLE are distributed both geographically (throughout Valbelluna)  and temporally (the first on June 20\, the last on October 18) and are completely free\,  but with limited number: therefore\, it is important to book\, through the site primaveracasa.eu or on Eventbrite (the  link is https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/trovarsi-al-sole-trovarsi-allombra-4844988). \n The event – which in autumn will become TROVARSI ALL’OMBRA\, moving to the taverns of  Valbelluna – is designed as a welcome for those who have recently moved here (but not only!)\, and have  pleasure in getting to know\, along with new places\, new people. And precisely to encourage meetings among those who do not yet know each other\, at the end or during the walks\, or  bike rides\, convivial moments are always planned – to chat also with your legs under the table\, in a refuge or in a  malga\, at the bar\, in a tavern\, with a refreshing aperitif. \n Even the  convivial moments are covered by the PRIMAVERA CASA project. A project that\, let us remember\, has been working for some years (since September 2022)\, thanks to the support of  the Cariverona Foundation\, together with property owners to reopen unused houses\, to give them  new life and make them available to those who wish to move to live and work in Valbelluna. The  project partners are\, from the beginning\, Società Nuova\, Isoipse\, ACLI servizi\, and the Dolomiti Prealpi Tourism Consortium. \n The TROVARSI event\, in particular\, is conceived and organized by ISOIPSE\, in collaboration with  the rest of the team. Itinerant show: five theater companies tell stories of women from Belluno. \nThe theater companies Farine Fossili\, Gruppo teatrale Zumellese\, I Comelianti\, Lavori in Corso\, and Se Queris will bring to life an original theatrical format\, featuring “open-air performances” in various suggestive locations in the center of Farra d’Alpago. \nThe stage will be quite unique: the streets\, squares\, and corners of the town center. \nThe theme of the event will focus on women who have played a special and important role in the life of Belluno. \nThe event will be held with the collaboration of the Onda Rosa APS association\, active in providing support to women affected by breast cancer: during the event\, voluntary donations will be collected to support patients who have received a breast cancer diagnosis. DESCRIPTION:FOR INFO AND REGISTRATIONS: 338 6487892  \nFrom July 4 to August 9\, 2026 the third edition of “A Month of Art in Sovramonte” returns\, a rich program of events dedicated to art\, music\, culture\, and the meeting of peoples. \n“THE WORLD IN A CABINET”An evocative exhibition of traditional garments from Europe\, Africa\, Asia\, and Central-South America\, to discover cultures\, identities\, and traditions through the universal language of clothing.The exhibition will be open for visits at the RSA of Sorriva di Sovramonte from July 24 to August 9\, 2026.  \nConcerts• July 4 – Concert by the guitar duo Berardo-Tomaino• July 11 – Concert by the choir Numeri Atque Voces and the brass group Klomer Brass\, in memory of Maestro Renato Pante. \nOther activities• Ethnic dance workshops• Watercolor painting course• Moments of meeting and sharing open to all.
