The CAI Section of Belluno proposes an evening dedicated to an undertaking that has made history for this iconic Dolomitic route. In July 2005\, Arturo Giozzet\, Giuseppe Menardi and Rinaldo Ottone completed the entire Alta Via n. 1 in one go\, without stops\, in less than 24 hours. \nArturo Giozzet and Giuseppe Menardi will recount this extraordinary experience through memories\, anecdotes\, and images\, taking the audience on a journey of preparation\, effort\, and passion for the mountains. SUMMARY:Tizian summer - Embroidery and workshops in Renaissance Venice
DESCRIPTION:In the conference\, Alessandra Geromel will explore the work of embroiderers active in Venice between the 15th century and the early 16th century through a direct analysis of a collection of embroideries found in Veneto\, Trentino Alto Adige\, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. \nThe meeting will delve into the work of embroiderers active in Venice between the fifteenth century and the early sixteenth century through direct analysis of a core collection of embroideries found in Veneto\, Trentino Alto Adige\, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. \nThe presence of architectures topped by one or more domes\, within which bishops\, doctors of the church\, evangelists\, and patron saints are depicted\, characterizes and identifies Venetian production\, as documented in contemporary paintings with particular reference to the work of Cima da Conegliano. \nThe aim of the study is to conceptually dismantle these artifacts to analyze and understand the execution techniques\, materials\, preparatory designs\, and trade secrets\, in an attempt to reconstruct the history of embroidery in Venice\, which is remarkably poor in documentary sources. \nThe extraordinary discovery of a letter\, used as stuffing material in the embroideries of the church vestment from San Martino di Rasai – currently at the Diocesan Museum of Feltre – sheds light on the figure of Hieronymo\, an embroiderer with a workshop at the San Lio bridge in Venice active in the early part of the sixteenth century. \nALESSANDRA GEROMEL\, a textile historian\, student of Doretta Davanzo Poli and Paolo Peri\, is an independent researcher and lecturer\, and is engaged in studying and cataloging ancient fabrics and vestments for museums\, dioceses\, and private collectors. \nAmong her collaborations are those with the Museum of Liturgical Fabric in Brescia\, the Sforza Castle in Milan\, the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento\, the Museum of San Pio X in Salzano\, the Textile Museum in Ala\, the Diocese of Treviso\, and that of Vittorio Veneto. \nAlongside her research work\, she also teaches the history of fabric and the analysis and recognition of ancient textiles. \nAdmission to the conference is free. \nFor information: Tel. 0435 501674 – centrostudi@tizianovecellio.it – www.tizianovecellio.it

DESCRIPTION:The 3rd-4th-5th of July sees the return of Dona 1 Sorriso with its 22nd edition\, a now established event that combines fun\, sports\, music\, and solidarity in a large gathering dedicated to the community. The event will take place in Pian dei Castaldi (Barp\, Sedico)\, and will offer three days full of activities designed for all ages. \nThe initiative arises with an important charitable goal: the entire proceeds will be used to support children and families in difficulty through local associations engaged in social work. It is part of the series “Countries\, Stories\, and Children” that involves the municipalities of the Provinces of Belluno\, Treviso\, Padua\, and Venice. \nShow by the Theater Company “Gli Alcuni” with Polpetta and Frollino. Puppet theater for ages: approximately 3/8 years old. \nThree wishes for three toys. What would happen if in the famous fairy tale by Aleksandr Pushkin the roles were reversed? \nIf the old fisherman Ivan\, after catching the golden fish\, told the story to his daughter Anna Polina and his brother Dimitri? \nHow might a boy’s wishes differ from those of a girl if they found themselves in front of a little golden fish that could grant a maximum of three wishes? \nThe wishes will start with sophisticated toys that are automatic\, which will ultimately prove to be little engaging for the two children; in short\, toys that “play by themselves\,” turning the children into mere passive spectators and limiting their ability to make even a simple gesture other than deciding to turn it off. \nTherefore\, the second wish goes towards a toy that can be handled and controlled. \nFinally\, the last wish: Anna Polina will ask her brother Dimitri to play together with him in their father Ivan’s boat\, who will tell them a fairy tale… \nThe show\, inspired by the fairy tale “The Golden Fish” by Aleksandr Pushkin\, wants to offer spectators a reflection on the games of girls and boys. What are their immediate wishes\, how their desires “deflate” in front of a new game that is more advertised than the previous one\, the value of playing together with peers and playing with parents. \nThe more shows you see\, the more prizes you will receive! DESCRIPTION:Open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. \nFree admission. \nReservation is not required. \n Extraordinary opening to the public. \nThe pre-Roman necropolis of Mel in Borgo Valbelluna opens exceptionally to the public every Sunday in July and August from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and in conjunction with the openings of the church of the Addolorata in the center of Mel (Saturday\, July 4 and Saturday\, August 1) it will be possible to access and visit the state archaeological area that preserves the monumental burial ground of the Ancient Venetians.  \nA “city of the dead” among the oldest in Valbelluna and one of the few currently visitable in the entire Veneto region\, rediscovered thanks to excavations that began in 1958\, stands at the entrance to the village of Mel and allows us to understand how the Paleoveneti lived and what their economic and social structure was. \nThe approximately 80 tombs found are inserted within 7 circles made of sandstone slabs set vertically in the ground. The ashes of the deceased were placed in ceramic or bronze vessels along with some everyday objects inside polygonal boxes. Thus\, a sort of family tomb was formed. The cremation vessels and all the objects that accompanied the burials – ornaments and tools – are displayed in the rooms of the Civic Archaeological Museum located in the Palazzo delle Contesse in the square of Mel. \nThe Ancient Venetians or Paleoveneti were an Indo-European population that arrived in northeastern Italy after the middle of the 2nd millennium B.C. Thanks to numerous archaeological excavations and related findings\, the history and identity of this population have been reconstructed over the years. The Venetians initially settled in the area between Lake Garda and the Euganean Hills and later expanded to Adria (RO) to the south\, and to the Tagliamento River to the east. \nFree entry.

To choose a place\, more is needed: fundamental are the relationships one manages to build around oneself.  \nThis is why the TROVARSI initiative was born within the framework of the PRIMAVERA CASA project – a project aimed at reopening unused homes in Valbelluna\, to make them available to new inhabitants\, young people\, and workers.  \nMany outings to discover the territory\, to build relationships while walking. The 12 outings of TROVARSI AL SOLE are distributed both geographically (throughout Valbelluna) and temporally (the first on June 20\, the last on October 18) and are completely free\, but limited in number: therefore\, it is important to register\, from the website primaveracasa.eu or on Eventbrite (the link is https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/trovarsi-al-sole-trovarsi-allombra-4844988). \n The initiative – which in autumn will become TROVARSI ALL’OMBRA and move to the taverns of Valbelluna – is designed as a welcome for those who have recently moved here (but not only!)\, and would like to meet\, along with new places\, new people. And precisely to encourage encounters among those who do not yet know each other\, at the end or during the walks\, or rides\, convivial moments are always planned – to chat even with legs under the table\, in a shelter or in a farm\, at the bar\, in a tavern\, with a relaxing aperitif. \n The convivial moments are also covered by the PRIMAVERA CASA project. A project that\, we remind you\, has been working for several years (since September 2022)\, thanks to the support of the Cariverona Foundation\, alongside owners to reopen unused homes\, to restore them to new life and make them available to those who wish to move to live and work in Valbelluna. The project partners have been\, from the beginning\, Società Nuova\, Isoipse\, ACLI services\, and the Dolomiti Prealpi Tourist Consortium. \n The TROVARSI initiative\, in particular\, is conceived and organized by ISOIPSE\, in collaboration with the rest of the team.
