DESCRIPTION:Steps of discovery with Anacleto Boranga\, naturalistic and environmental educator. \nSecond appointment of the educational hike “CammiNATURAlmente”. \n– Sunday\, May 4 in the Castionese to discover an ancient convent among majestic centuries-old trees. \nStarting from Modolo\, where the majestic Villa Miari dominates\, we will reach Prà Caval.Here\, one can admire a precious and mysterious (hospital/convent?) isolated building\, the existence of which many are unaware\, also due to the lack of written documentation\, but which was located along a route frequented by pilgrims and travelers. \nNearby\, one can admire an imposing white poplar and a suggestive row of centuries-old oaks\, both included in the ministerial register of monumental trees. \nContinuing along country lanes\, we will approach a deep gorge by the Meassa stream\, near which we will observe\, in the garden of a dwelling\, a towering sequoia reminiscent of the monumental one in Vajont. \nDuration is about 3 hours. The proposed hike\, suitable for an experienced hiker\, includes a good elevation gain\, with some points where “steady and secure footing” is necessary\, and promises beautiful emotions as well as a very characteristic panorama. \n \nOn Sunday\, May 11\, instead\, we will move to the Lagorai group.  \nLagorai off the beaten path: a mountainous group of considerable size\, offering diversified and sparsely populated environments\, away from mass tourism\, for a hike on trail traces\, areas that\, over a hundred years after the Great War\, still show visible scars on the land.

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, May 4\, 2025\, the second edition of “Sonon par San Gottardo” will take place at Prà de la Melia  at 8:45 PM. \nThe fundraising evening organized by the San Gottardo Committee for the restoration of the bell tower of the namesake church\, severely damaged by lightning in the summer of 2022\, will be an evening dedicated to music. A concert of traditional and popular music will be held featuring the Coro Monti del Sole\, the Voci dai Cortivi\, and to top it off…accordion players galore! \nHosted by Mirko Mezzacasa of RadioPiù. \nThe event is organized in collaboration with the Library Committee and with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Sospirolo. \n  \nFundraising evening for the San Gottardo bell tower

DESCRIPTION:Steps of discovery with Anacleto Boranga\, naturalistic and environmental educator. \nSecond appointment of the educational hike “CammiNATURAlmente”. \n– Sunday\, May 4 in the Castionese to discover an ancient convent among majestic centuries-old trees. \nStarting from Modolo\, where the majestic Villa Miari dominates\, we will reach Prà Caval.Here\, one can admire a precious and mysterious (hospital/convent?) isolated building\, the existence of which many are unaware\, also due to the lack of written documentation\, but which was located along a route frequented by pilgrims and travelers. \nNearby\, one can admire an imposing white poplar and a suggestive row of centuries-old oaks\, both included in the ministerial register of monumental trees. \nContinuing along country lanes\, we will approach a deep gorge by the Meassa stream\, near which we will observe\, in the garden of a dwelling\, a towering sequoia reminiscent of the monumental one in Vajont. \nDuration is about 3 hours. DESCRIPTION:Upcoming excursions “On the Path with Giò” \nThe excursions with the Mountain Guide Giovanni continue! \nOn Sunday\, May 4\, we will go to Setteville.  \nThe Schievenin Valley offers\, in addition to sport climbing\, hiking paths of remarkable natural value. The proposed hike\, suitable for an experienced hiker\, includes a good elevation gain\, with some points where “steady and secure footing” is necessary\, and promises beautiful emotions as well as a very characteristic panorama. \n \nOn Sunday\, May 11\, instead\, we will move to the Lagorai group.  \nLagorai off the beaten path: a mountainous group of considerable size\, offering diversified and sparsely populated environments\, away from mass tourism\, for a hike on trail traces\, areas that\, over a hundred years after the Great War\, still show visible scars on the land.
