SUMMARY:Wander through a Winter Wonderland of Nativity Scenes
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a lovely walk discovering the artistic nativity scenes crafted by the residents of Col and Pagogna. \nAn initiative born from the idea of the local committee for the church of Col\, which has long been engaged in fundraising for the restoration of the bell tower deemed dangerous of the beautiful church of Santa Lucia in Col di Borgo Valbelluna (BL) and has become a fixed appointment of the Christmas celebrations of Borgo Valbelluna. This year\, the organization and realization of the nativity scenes have also involved ASD Laghet\, Pro Loco Zumellese\, and many local associations\, but especially the residents of the two towns who have made available the most characteristic corners and have worked for the perfect success of the initiative. \nAssociations and residents have gotten to work with the result that many beautiful nativity scenes were created\, visitable from Sunday December 7 (with inauguration at 14:30 in the square in Pagogna) until January 11 from 10:00 to 18:00.  \nThe creations\, in full Christmas spirit that warms the heart\, range from the simplest and naïve to the most artistic and complex\, accompanying all visitors on this suggestive walk suitable for everyone\, through the streets of the town to discover decorated corners\, porticoes\, and courtyards. Bring your camera! \nParking points and possible starting points for the tour are: the large parking lot of the sports facilities “La Lora\,” the parking lot at the D+ Supermarket\, and the parking lot in the industrial area between Farra di Mel and Pagogna. \nNews 2025:  \n\nThe walk to discover the nativity scenes together with the volunteers of the organizing group starting from the Sports Field on December 21 and January 4 at 14:00.\nThe animated nativity scene in the church of Pagogna every Sunday from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00

DESCRIPTION:The “Relay for Peace City of Belluno” will take place on Wednesday\, December 10th. The day will unfold in several moments: \n9:30: Flag-raising at Piazza Duomo\, institutional greetings from civil authorities: the President of the Province of Belluno\, the Mayor\, and the Prefect of Belluno\, and sports figures: the President of CONI Veneto Dino Ponchio\, the regional President of CIP Davide Giorgi\, the Regional Responsible for Special Olympics Elisabetta Pusiol\, and the President of Panathlon International Giorgio Chinellato. \n– at the Teatro Comunale of Belluno “Dino Buzzati”\, with some shows on the theme of peace presented by high school students. This will be followed by a speech from Dr. Antonella Stelitano on the theme of the Olympic Truce\, and a speech from the President of Panathlon International. Some CONI\, CIP\, and Special Olympics athletes will also speak. \n16:00: students will gather at Piazza Duomo for the relay. The students will take on the role of torchbearers\, carrying the torch together through the historic center of Belluno. Several stops are planned along the route\, during which the students will share their reflections on the theme of peace and respect for fundamental human rights (on the occasion of the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights). At the end of the relay at Piazza Duomo\, in the presence of the community\, the official appeal for the Olympic Truce ahead of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will be read\, followed by the lowering of the flag\, greetings\, and the singing of the anthem for peace (a musical appeal for peace). \n18: at the Teatro Comunale\, a gospel concert performed by the Joy Singers choir from Venice\, conducted by Andrea D’Alpaos.
