At the end\, with the arrival of darkness\, the activities of astronomical observation guided by the members of the Astrophile Group of Belluno will take place. \nThanks to the availability of telescopes and dedicated equipment\, participants will have the opportunity to observe the main celestial objects visible in the summer sky and to deepen their knowledge of astronomy in a suggestive and convivial setting. \nParticipation in the observations is free entry. Reservations for the dinner are required at the Rifugio Bristot at the number 338 9553434. \nOn Saturday\, July 4 from 7:00 p.m. the traditional gastronomic evening returns\, organized by the Belluno Astronomers Group in collaboration with the Bristot Refuge. \nThe evening will start with dinner (reservations required at +39 338 9553434) and will continue with a guided observation of the summer sky\, thanks to the telescopes of the Astronomers Group pointed at the most interesting objects of the evening. DESCRIPTION:The 3rd-4th-5th of July sees the return of Dona 1 Sorriso with its 22nd edition\, a now established event that combines fun\, sports\, music\, and solidarity in a large gathering dedicated to the community. The event will take place in Pian dei Castaldi (Barp\, Sedico)\, and will offer three days full of activities designed for all ages. \nThe initiative arises with an important charitable goal: the entire proceeds will be used to support children and families in difficulty through local associations engaged in social work. Following that\, the exhibition “When There Was Snow”\, created together with the Frazionale APS Committee and the Limana Ski Club\, will be inaugurated. Through about thirty large photographs along the Malghe Path\, the exhibition narrates the history of the territory. \nThe evening will continue with “Storytellers (rehearsals…)”\, a show combining music and words with Max Solinas and Nicola Spina Pilat. \nFriday\, July 10\, at the Vejò Cultural Center\, Simona Polli and Matteo Piva will share their eleven-month journey in South America with the presentation of the book “On a Journey with Emotions.” \nSaturday\, July 11\, in Cortivo Ottaviani\, the festival will celebrate “30 Years Together… Under the Stars” with a concert by Erica Boschiero\, who will present “A Place on Earth\,” an intense musical journey through human stories\, nature\, and collective responsibility. \nAmong the numerous proposals that will enliven the summer\, there is also the Magnalonga of Valmorel on July 12 and its suggestive night version on July 31.

SUMMARY:Visit the Necropolis of the Ancient Veneti
DESCRIPTION:Open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. \nFree admission. \nReservation is not required. \n Extraordinary opening to the public. \nThe pre-Roman necropolis of Mel in Borgo Valbelluna opens exceptionally to the public every Sunday in July and August from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and in conjunction with the openings of the church of the Addolorata in the center of Mel (Saturday\, July 4 and Saturday\, August 1) it will be possible to access and visit the state archaeological area that preserves the monumental burial ground of the Ancient Venetians.  \nA “city of the dead” among the oldest in Valbelluna and one of the few currently visitable in the entire Veneto region\, rediscovered thanks to excavations that began in 1958\, stands at the entrance to the village of Mel and allows us to understand how the Paleoveneti lived and what their economic and social structure was. \nThe approximately 80 tombs found are inserted within 7 circles made of sandstone slabs set vertically in the ground. The ashes of the deceased were placed in ceramic or bronze vessels along with some everyday objects inside polygonal boxes. Thus\, a sort of family tomb was formed. The cremation vessels and all the objects that accompanied the burials – ornaments and tools – are displayed in the rooms of the Civic Archaeological Museum located in the Palazzo delle Contesse in the square of Mel. \nThe Ancient Venetians or Paleoveneti were an Indo-European population that arrived in northeastern Italy after the middle of the 2nd millennium B.C. Thanks to numerous archaeological excavations and related findings\, the history and identity of this population have been reconstructed over the years. The Venetians initially settled in the area between Lake Garda and the Euganean Hills and later expanded to Adria (RO) to the south\, and to the Tagliamento River to the east. \nFree entry.

The initiative proposes a widespread path in the historic center that will involve local producers\, DJs\, and commercial activities\, creating an experience capable of combining tasting\, conviviality\, and musical research. \nIn each of the involved squares\, there will be two wine producers from the territory and a DJ set entirely in vinyl: \n\nPiazzetta San Lucano – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl. \nPiazza Santo Stefano – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl. \nPiazza Piloni – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl. \nPiazza Chemello – 2 wine producers and 1 DJ set in vinyl. \n\nThe event intends to enhance the local wine heritage through a format that facilitates the meeting between producers and the public\, accompanying the tastings with a curated music selection and an engaging atmosphere. \nTHURSDAY\, JULY 30: MERCHANTS IN THE SQUAREThe merchants of the historic center will be the protagonists of a shared installation in Piazza dei Martiri\, created through a collective collaboration that will enhance the activities of the territory. \nFabrics\, decorative elements\, installations\, and light games will help transform the square into a scenographic space inspired by gypsy aesthetics\, creating a suggestive and engaging environment. The intervention is designed to offer visitors an immersive experience\, making Piazza dei Martiri the focal point of the event and a meeting place capable of combining creativity\, participation\, and the enhancement of the city’s commercial fabric.

DESCRIPTION:Cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi \nThe cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi and the Franciscans\, in the 800 years since the death of the saint\, develop in the City of Feltre and its immediate surroundings due to the numerous traces that are preserved there\, both in places of worship and in some historical sites of the citadel and in areas extra moenia. Among the main stops of the itinerary are the Co-cathedral of Feltre\, which houses altars and altarpieces\, fragments of frescoes\, sculptures\, and relics linked to the Franciscan saints\, or works coming from ancient convents of the Friars Minor or Conventuals (such as that of Santa Maria del Prato)\, the church of San Giacomo Maggiore\, on via Mezza­terra (which preserves works from the vanished convent of Santo Spirito)\, the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Borgo Tezze\, founded along with its convent of Poor Clare nuns by the friar Bernardino Tomitano from Feltre\, the church of the Sacred Heart on via Belluno\, which was built by the Franciscans more recently (20th century)\, along with the convent complex. Lastly\, the Shrine of Saints Vittore and Corona on Mount Miesna (Anzù)\, with images and architectures that recall the brotherhood of the Saint of Assisi. \nAmong the other historical buildings and city museums containing Franciscan memories – which will be visited during the paths – the Diocesan Museum Belluno-Feltre is noteworthy\, hosting important works depicting Saint Francis and Saint Clare\, as well as wooden and stone elements coming from vanished city convents. The Modern Art Gallery “Carlo Rizzarda” will also be a fundamental stop on the urban trek\, where one can admire the splendid wrought iron candelabrum by the teacher from Feltre with Franciscan saints; there\, the thematic exhibition that hosts paintings from the Civic Museum of via Luzzo will also be explained. This year\, the destination for the aperitif will be Lake Arsié\, also known as Corlo\, which will be reached after a route that will also touch Fastro\, San Vito\, and Val Nevera\, concluding in Fonzaso at the headquarters of the Pro Loco where there will be a communal lunch.

Before the dinner\, a brief exploration of the surrounding environments is planned. The return takes place along a path in the woods\, accompanied by the light of the moon and the evening atmosphere.  \nLength and Elevation Gain: 7 km – 450 m  \nDifficulty and Duration: MEDIUM/EASY – about 5 hours including breaks  \nMeeting Time: at 5.00 p.m. at the Brasolas parking lot in San Vito di Cadore
