DESCRIPTION:This year Longarone has decided to bring great culture to its oldest village\, Castellavazzo\, proposing “Lithéa – The Art of Stone\, Body\, and Voice.” \nAs if there were a muse\, Lithéa\, guiding hands\, gazes\, voices\, bodies\, the art of extraction and processing of stone will merge with the performing arts. \nThe first opportunity to visit us is Saturday\, July 11\, when Piazza Fontana in Castellavazzo will become the open-air stage for “Lu Santo jullare Francesco”\, a show by Dario Fo\, staged by Mario Pirovano. The occasion is twofold: the 100th anniversary of Dario Fo’s birth and the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis’ death. “It is a great honor for us to be included in the calendar of the official celebrations of the Centenary of Dario Fo\, organized by the Fo Rame Foundation – states Councilor for Culture Anna Olivier – A unique opportunity to listen to a memorable work on the life of Saint Francis\, written by the Nobel Prize winner for Literature 1997. An unprecedented portrait that Fo paints of the most extraordinary innovator of Christian thought\, addressing the great themes that run through contemporary society.”  \nSunday\, July 12\, will instead feature “Alétheia”\, a workshop with a duo of artists: the Belluno soprano Chiara Isotton and American actor Patick Cann. A little less than a year after the awarding of the International Prize Bellunesi which honors the province in Italy and in the World to the soprano\, we decided to offer singing and acting enthusiasts the opportunity to experience a day of work with international professionals. The day will develop into a 360° workshop on voice and body\, starting with texts selected for the occasion. It will be a different experience\, unique in its kind\, to bring enthusiasts closer to work on voice and body that explores different techniques and particular fusions. \nAt the end of the day there will be a performance for the audience. \nA double event in the historic village of Castellavazzo in the company of the muse Lithéa.

DESCRIPTION:Free guided tour every opening day at 3:00 PM  \nDiscover a story of many centuries \nIn the locality of Santa Libera lies the ancient mill\, whose wheels were already operational in 1526 and which\, until its closure in 1980\, changed hands among the local and Venetian noble families. \nThe mill of Santa Libera tells a story spanning many centuries\, connected to the territory of Santa Giustina and the waters of the Veses stream. As early as 1526\, two flour wheels were in operation\, and over the centuries\, various owners took turns\, often local or Venetian noble families. It was closed by its last owners\, the Zanandrea family\, in 1981. The two-story mill building is part of an ancient rural courtyard\, with the milling equipment and installations on the ground floor and the granary on the upper floor. Thanks to the municipal administration of Santa Giustina\, in 2004 the mill was restored and reopened to the public. Guided tours are available upon request\, with opportunities for milling demonstrations\, educational workshops\, excursions\, and guided visits along the ancient waterways of the Santa Giustina territory that lead to the Mill of Santa Libera in Salzan.

The trip will last just over 2 hours of which about 1 hour of walking and more than 1 hour among fairy tales and legends. DESCRIPTION:On July 12th\, the Ristoro Campo Scuola del Nevegal will host the National Dog Beauty Show\, an event dedicated to dog lovers\, families\, and enthusiasts of the canine world. \nThe event\, valid for the National OPES Canine Championship\, will welcome dogs of all breeds\, with and without pedigree\, as well as mixed-breed dogs\, offering a day dedicated to the passion for animals\, sharing\, and fun. \nThroughout the day\, the public will be able to witness the evaluations of the participating subjects by qualified judges\, closely admiring numerous dog breeds from various regions and beyond. There will also be moments of particular interest such as the Special “Most Beautiful Dog of the Province of Belluno” – Memorial Marzio Chiarello and the Special Alaskan Malamute\, dedicated to two breeds that are very much loved by enthusiasts. \nRegistrations will start from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.\, and the beginning of the judging will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. DESCRIPTION:Free event\, registration required 12 occasions through the streets of Valbelluna to meet new faces and discover other paths. \nNot just work\, not just home. To choose a place\, more is needed: fundamental are the relationships one manages to build around oneself.  \nThis is why the TROVARSI initiative was born within the framework of the PRIMAVERA CASA project – a project aimed at reopening unused homes in Valbelluna\, to make them available to new inhabitants\, young people\, and workers.  \nMany outings to discover the territory\, to build relationships while walking. The 12 outings of TROVARSI AL SOLE are distributed both geographically (throughout Valbelluna) and temporally (the first on June 20\, the last on October 18) and are completely free\, but limited in number: therefore\, it is important to register\, from the website primaveracasa.eu or on Eventbrite (the link is https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/trovarsi-al-sole-trovarsi-allombra-4844988). \n The initiative – which in autumn will become TROVARSI ALL’OMBRA and move to the taverns of Valbelluna – is designed as a welcome for those who have recently moved here (but not only!)\, and would like to meet\, along with new places\, new people. And precisely to encourage encounters among those who do not yet know each other\, at the end or during the walks\, or rides\, convivial moments are always planned – to chat even with legs under the table\, in a shelter or in a farm\, at the bar\, in a tavern\, with a relaxing aperitif. \n The convivial moments are also covered by the PRIMAVERA CASA project. A project that\, we remind you\, has been working for several years (since September 2022)\, thanks to the support of the Cariverona Foundation\, alongside owners to reopen unused homes\, to restore them to new life and make them available to those who wish to move to live and work in Valbelluna. The project partners have been\, from the beginning\, Società Nuova\, Isoipse\, ACLI services\, and the Dolomiti Prealpi Tourist Consortium. \n The TROVARSI initiative\, in particular\, is conceived and organized by ISOIPSE\, in collaboration with the rest of the team.
