I’m not in a hurry but I’m going fast” by Kristian Ghedina. Author Lorenzo Fabiano will participate in the evening\, along with the extraordinary participation of Champion Kristian Ghedina. \nThe evening is part of a traveling review curated by Barbara Chiarandà and Martino Fogliato. \nSpeed in the soul\, whether on skis or behind the wheel of racing cars on the track\, matters little. It’s vital. Thirteen World Cup victories\, thirty-three podiums\, three world medals\, the Olympic ones his Achilles’ heel; at least until Dominik Paris emerged\, Kristian Ghedina was the strongest downhill skier that Italy has ever had on the track since the epic times of Zeno Colò. And he still has his own unique place among the greats of alpine skiing.  \nA story that is the novel of a life marked by the pain of his mother’s tragic disappearance when he was just fifteen years old and of a career divided into two\, before and after the car accident in 1991 in which he himself seriously risked losing his life. DESCRIPTION:The historic San Matteo Fair returns again this year\, gathering the quality producers of Feltrino and the Province of Belluno.    The event takes place in the wonderful setting of the historic center\, where many small businesses showcase their traditional local agricultural products. \n   The San Matteo Fair was born with the idea of promoting the Feltrina walnut\, but over the years it has expanded further\, adding even more products and attracting more and more people interested in purchasing.    \nThe “feltrina walnut” is characterized by its “premicità\,” meaning it breaks very easily\, almost just by squeezing it between the fingers. Another characteristic that rewards the queen of the fair is the high yield of the shelled nut\, which is accompanied by the extreme ease of extracting the kernel. \n A genuine fruit that delights the palate with its sweet and round taste but not only that. The entire production indeed follows natural methods\, without the use of pesticides and bleaching treatments\, in respect of the environment and health. The drying still takes place in the sun on racks as tradition dictates. \n A little curiosity: in the past\, it was a tradition to plant a walnut tree for the birth of every female child as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity.  \n   Therefore\, there will be Feltre Walnuts\, but also Chestnuts and “moroni” from Feltrino\, cheeses from the alpine dairies\, pumpkins\, Lamon beans and Gialet beans\, and Prussian apple to brighten up this late autumn day. \n \nMarket of local products

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 1 at 9 PM Saturn Evening Speaker Gabriele Vanin For several weeks now\, the beautiful Saturn has been clearly visible with the telescopes of the Astronomical Center. However\, on November 1\, in particular\, it will reach its highest point\, making it better observable\, right during the opening hours of the Center. Compared to previous years\, it will be much higher on the horizon\, allowing for a calmer atmosphere for observation. This year\, the presentation of the rings is particularly unique\, almost edge-on\, providing an unusual perspective that can only be admired every 15 years.  \nThis presentation also favors the best visibility of its nine moons\, which can be seen with the telescopes of the Center. After the observation\, a conference will be held to take stock of what we know about the Saturn system\, its 12 ring systems\, and its 274 moons\, accompanied by many spectacular slides and several sensational videos. The latter\, in particular\, in its waning phase\, will show unusual landscapes such as the craters Hercules and Atlas\, Macrobius and Taruntius\, Magelhaens and Columbus\, Santbech and Reichenbach\, Rheita\, Metius\, and Fabricius\, Pitiscus\, Hommel\, and Vlacq. \nSaturday\, November 15 at 9 PM The Campaign for the Pleiades Speaker Gabriele Vanin Undoubtedly\, the Pleiades are one of the most beautiful celestial objects\, perhaps the most beautiful and evocative in the entire sky. Their characteristic shape\, unusual composition\, subtle yet evident brightness\, never fail to impress even those approaching the sky for the first time or even those casually glancing at the firmament. All this is accompanied by intriguing and mysterious traits\, encompassing various aspects\, including those relating to their names. One of the most fascinating mysteries is the fact that all ancient sources state that sometimes six Pleiades can be seen with the naked eye\, other times seven. This has fueled the so-called Legend of the Lost Pleiad\, present in many cultures around the world. To try to understand the foundations of this myth\, visitors will be invited throughout the autumn-winter to draw on a sheet all the Pleiades they can see with the naked eye in their correct positions. Naturally\, the stars will also be observed through telescopes where they will appear even more spectacular. Other deep-sky objects will be shown such as the Double Cluster in Perseus\, the Andromeda Galaxy\, and again the planet Saturn. \nAt the planetarium\, there will be further discussions about the Pleiades\, providing much information on the mythology and astronomy of this wonderful object. \nSaturday\, November 22 at 9 PM Are the stars fixed or moving? Speaker Gabriele Vanin An evening predominantly based on naked-eye observation\, focusing on fun and conducted in the usual interactive manner with young visitors\, particularly suited for children in fourth and fifth grade and middle school\, aiming to stimulate the observation of rhythms and natural phenomena\, to try to overcome the schematism often inherent in our approach to things\, and to help keep an open mind towards phenomena that initially seem at least improbable. There will also be an opportunity to observe the sky through the telescope\, the planet Saturn\, and deep-sky objects such as the globular cluster M 15\, the open cluster M 52\, and the edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 891\, which can also be projected onto a giant screen in the observatory and at the planetarium via the Schmidt telescope and the cooled electronic camera. \nSaturday\, November 29 at 9 PM Astronomers’ Evening At the end of the month\, the usual free entry evening will take place\, dedicated to everyone who wants to familiarize themselves with the use of the Center’s instruments\, or even bring their own telescope and have it explained to them how to use it. DESCRIPTION:The historic San Matteo Fair returns again this year\, gathering the quality producers of Feltrino and the Province of Belluno.    The event takes place in the wonderful setting of the historic center\, where many small businesses showcase their traditional local agricultural products. \n   The San Matteo Fair was born with the idea of promoting the Feltrina walnut\, but over the years it has expanded further\, adding even more products and attracting more and more people interested in purchasing.    \nThe “feltrina walnut” is characterized by its “premicità\,” meaning it breaks very easily\, almost just by squeezing it between the fingers. Another characteristic that rewards the queen of the fair is the high yield of the shelled nut\, which is accompanied by the extreme ease of extracting the kernel. \n A genuine fruit that delights the palate with its sweet and round taste but not only that. The entire production indeed follows natural methods\, without the use of pesticides and bleaching treatments\, in respect of the environment and health. The drying still takes place in the sun on racks as tradition dictates. \n A little curiosity: in the past\, it was a tradition to plant a walnut tree for the birth of every female child as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity.  \n   Therefore\, there will be Feltre Walnuts\, but also Chestnuts and “moroni” from Feltrino\, cheeses from the alpine dairies\, pumpkins\, Lamon beans and Gialet beans\, and Prussian apple to brighten up this late autumn day. \n \nMarket of local products

The streets and squares transform into a large open-air workshop thanks to the Symposium of Sculpture\, where artists from different places challenge each other with chisels and chainsaws\, giving life to original and surprising works. \nAlongside sculpture\, the Ex Tempore also welcomes other forms of artistic expression\, such as the Photographic Competition “Beyond the shot: Sport\, Pure Energy\, and Movement”\, curated by the Bellunese Photographic Club “Mario De Biasi”. \n Photographs must be taken during the symposium\, capturing the energy\, dynamism\, and emotions of the event. DESCRIPTION:39th Sculpture Symposium \nThe Ex Tempore of Wood Sculpture is a competition organized by the Consortium Belluno Centro Storico\, which has for years been the most awaited event of the Belluno autumn\, during the period leading up to the beloved Feast of the Patron Saint San Martino (November 11). \nFrom Tuesday\, November 4 to Sunday\, November 9\, the heart of Belluno’s historic center transforms into a large open-air workshop during the Symposium of Sculpture\, one of the most awaited events of the Ex Tempore. For several days\, the rhythmic sound of chainsaws and chisels echoes among the ancient walls\, while artists\, positioned in various spots\, bring unique works to life\, skillfully and passionately sculpting wood. \n The air is filled with the unmistakable fragrance of larch\, resinous and intense\, blending with the voices of onlookers and the murmur of the city. Strolling among the spots\, one can observe the sculptures taking shape before the public’s eyes: figures inspired by nature\, faces\, symbols\, and stories born from wood turning into art. \nThis year’s theme is “Beyond the Gesture: Energy\, Sport\, Harmony” and the sculptors present\, coming from various parts of Italy and the world\, will be:Sara Andrich\, Raul Barattin\, Ivan Boneccher\, Alberto Boschetti\, Nicola Cozzio\, Gianfranco Dalla Costa\, Gianluca De Nard\, Arianna Gasperina\, Armin Grunt\, Giar Lunghi\, Marco Pangrazio\, Francesco Rizzardi\, Manuel Rossi\, Matthias Sieff\, Kurt Wierer.

DESCRIPTION:Review of popularity and tradition \nThe Ex Tempore Wood Sculpture is a competition\, organized by the Consorzio Belluno Centro Storico\, that has represented the most anticipated event of the Belluno autumn for years\, during the time leading up to the beloved feast of the patron Saint Martin (November 11). \nEstablished in the now distant 1986\, the event is one of the most important national exhibitions for popularity and tradition: the participants in the symposium come from all over Italy. \nDay by day\, amidst the scent of larch wood and the sound of chisels and chainsaws\, the sculptors animate the streets and squares of the historic center\, shaping their works under the curious gaze of passersby\, young and old. \nAt the end of the week dedicated to the creation of sculptures\, the Jury Prize “Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti”\, the “Stampa” prize\, and the “Fidapa” prize are awarded. Subsequently\, the works are displayed for public voting\, which grants the most voted artist the “Città di Belluno” prize and the “Bambini” prize. \nDuring the symposium\, numerous collateral initiatives dedicated to art\, craftsmanship\, and local wood culture are planned.

Alcide De Gasperi and Politics as Service” is part of the celebrations of the “Degasperian Year\,” a program of initiatives promoted by the De Gasperi Foundation to commemorate the figure of the great statesman on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his death\, which occurred on August 19\, 1954. \nThe exhibition offers a dynamic and evolving perspective on the historical narrative of the Founding Father of democratic Italy and the European Union\, updating the thoughts and actions of a believer and politician who loved to define himself as Servus inutilis\, whose entire life was driven by the desire to serve the good of all. \nAfter the introductory section\, dedicated to the intertwining of De Gasperi’s biography and the history of the time in which he lived\, the exhibition pathway unfolds in 5 thematic sections that highlight\, with the aid of images\, posters\, and documents\, both the principles that have always inspired him and the moral\, cultural\, and political teachings that he has bequeathed to future generations up to our days. \nFree admission. \nINAUGURATION SATURDAY\, NOVEMBER 8 at 5:30 PM:Speakers: Prof. Paolo Valvo Curator of the exhibition\, Associate Professor of Contemporary History at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.
