DESCRIPTION:Cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi \nThe cultural paths dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi and the Franciscans\, in the 800 years since the death of the saint\, develop in the City of Feltre and its immediate surroundings due to the numerous traces that are preserved there\, both in places of worship and in some historical sites of the citadel and in areas extra moenia. Among the main stops of the itinerary are the Co-cathedral of Feltre\, which houses altars and altarpieces\, fragments of frescoes\, sculptures\, and relics linked to the Franciscan saints\, or works coming from ancient convents of the Friars Minor or Conventuals (such as that of Santa Maria del Prato)\, the church of San Giacomo Maggiore\, on via Mezza­terra (which preserves works from the vanished convent of Santo Spirito)\, the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Borgo Tezze\, founded along with its convent of Poor Clare nuns by the friar Bernardino Tomitano from Feltre\, the church of the Sacred Heart on via Belluno\, which was built by the Franciscans more recently (20th century)\, along with the convent complex. Lastly\, the Shrine of Saints Vittore and Corona on Mount Miesna (Anzù)\, with images and architectures that recall the brotherhood of the Saint of Assisi. \nAmong the other historical buildings and city museums containing Franciscan memories – which will be visited during the paths – the Diocesan Museum Belluno-Feltre is noteworthy\, hosting important works depicting Saint Francis and Saint Clare\, as well as wooden and stone elements coming from vanished city convents. The Modern Art Gallery “Carlo Rizzarda” will also be a fundamental stop on the urban trek\, where one can admire the splendid wrought iron candelabrum by the teacher from Feltre with Franciscan saints; there\, the thematic exhibition that hosts paintings from the Civic Museum of via Luzzo will also be explained. DESCRIPTION:Listening-meditation in the eight hundredth anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi. \nThe contemporary attention towards the figure of the Saint of Assisi arises not only from the commemoration of eight hundred years since his death but also from the numerous themes that Francis embodied within an extraordinary human and spiritual journey. \nFrom the critical reworking of his own past and the educational conditioning arises the choice of a righteous life and the unconditional embrace of humility\, obedience\, and poverty. The need for a brotherhood and sisterhood among creatures\, aimed at sharing the tension towards the Divine\, gave rise to the three orders and the definition of a specific monastic rule. \nThe intimate cohesion with nature is expressed in the poetic inspiration of the Canticle\, a synthesis of Francis’ charism and a relational tool with all living beings. His actions\, so unusual\, have inspired written testimonies aimed at providing a truthful image of him even during his lifetime. \nAlongside these themes\, Francis’ sensitivity constantly evokes the figure of Mary\, protector of the Order\, in a bond based on Humilitas\, Caritas\, and Veritas: virtues in perfect alliance in transmitting the message of Christ and in the embrace of the Cross. \nEntrance to the event is free with a conscious donation. \nThe way to the Sanctuary. DESCRIPTION:The 3rd-4th-5th of July sees the return of Dona 1 Sorriso with its 22nd edition\, a now established event that combines fun\, sports\, music\, and solidarity in a large gathering dedicated to the community. The event will take place in Pian dei Castaldi (Barp\, Sedico)\, and will offer three days full of activities designed for all ages. \nThe initiative arises with an important charitable goal: the entire proceeds will be used to support children and families in difficulty through local associations engaged in social work. From 2021 to 2023\, he served as ecclesiastical assistant of the Dicastery for Communication. \nHe is fully engaged in education and regularly holds conferences and spiritual exercises for religious and laypeople.
