The goal of the evening is to show how play can become an effective tool for growth and learning for children and adolescents\, promoting the development of logical and analytical skills\, cooperation abilities\, and the balanced management of competitiveness. Special attention will be given to games designed for the school age\, particularly for primary school and lower secondary school\, highlighting how they can be used to stimulate executive functions — working memory\, attention\, cognitive flexibility\, response inhibition — and transversal skills such as planning\, problem-solving\, and divergent thinking. The conference will be divided into two moments: a first theoretical part dedicated to the presentation of key concepts and a second practical part\, during which it will be possible to see and directly try out some selected board games for the occasion.
