SUMMARY:Tizian summer - Embroidery and workshops in Renaissance Venice
DESCRIPTION:In the conference\, Alessandra Geromel will explore the work of embroiderers active in Venice between the 15th century and the early 16th century through a direct analysis of a collection of embroideries found in Veneto\, Trentino Alto Adige\, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. \nThe meeting will delve into the work of embroiderers active in Venice between the fifteenth century and the early sixteenth century through direct analysis of a core collection of embroideries found in Veneto\, Trentino Alto Adige\, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. \nThe presence of architectures topped by one or more domes\, within which bishops\, doctors of the church\, evangelists\, and patron saints are depicted\, characterizes and identifies Venetian production\, as documented in contemporary paintings with particular reference to the work of Cima da Conegliano. \nThe aim of the study is to conceptually dismantle these artifacts to analyze and understand the execution techniques\, materials\, preparatory designs\, and trade secrets\, in an attempt to reconstruct the history of embroidery in Venice\, which is remarkably poor in documentary sources. \nThe extraordinary discovery of a letter\, used as stuffing material in the embroideries of the church vestment from San Martino di Rasai – currently at the Diocesan Museum of Feltre – sheds light on the figure of Hieronymo\, an embroiderer with a workshop at the San Lio bridge in Venice active in the early part of the sixteenth century. \nALESSANDRA GEROMEL\, a textile historian\, student of Doretta Davanzo Poli and Paolo Peri\, is an independent researcher and lecturer\, and is engaged in studying and cataloging ancient fabrics and vestments for museums\, dioceses\, and private collectors. \nAmong her collaborations are those with the Museum of Liturgical Fabric in Brescia\, the Sforza Castle in Milan\, the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento\, the Museum of San Pio X in Salzano\, the Textile Museum in Ala\, the Diocese of Treviso\, and that of Vittorio Veneto. \nAlongside her research work\, she also teaches the history of fabric and the analysis and recognition of ancient textiles. \nAdmission to the conference is free. \nFor information: Tel. 0435 501674 – centrostudi@tizianovecellio.it – www.tizianovecellio.it

What would happen if in the famous fairy tale by Aleksandr Pushkin the roles were reversed? \nIf the old fisherman Ivan\, after catching the golden fish\, told the story to his daughter Anna Polina and his brother Dimitri? \nHow might a boy’s wishes differ from those of a girl if they found themselves in front of a little golden fish that could grant a maximum of three wishes? \nThe wishes will start with sophisticated toys that are automatic\, which will ultimately prove to be little engaging for the two children; in short\, toys that “play by themselves\,” turning the children into mere passive spectators and limiting their ability to make even a simple gesture other than deciding to turn it off. \nTherefore\, the second wish goes towards a toy that can be handled and controlled. \nFinally\, the last wish: Anna Polina will ask her brother Dimitri to play together with him in their father Ivan’s boat\, who will tell them a fairy tale… \nThe show\, inspired by the fairy tale “The Golden Fish” by Aleksandr Pushkin\, wants to offer spectators a reflection on the games of girls and boys. DESCRIPTION:“Poetic caravans” in the center of Farra d’Alpago. Itinerant show: five theater companies tell stories of women from Belluno. \nThe theater companies Farine Fossili\, Gruppo teatrale Zumellese\, I Comelianti\, Lavori in Corso\, and Se Queris will bring to life an original theatrical format\, featuring “open-air performances” in various suggestive locations in the center of Farra d’Alpago. \nThe stage will be quite unique: the streets\, squares\, and corners of the town center. \nThe theme of the event will focus on women who have played a special and important role in the life of Belluno. \nThe event will be held with the collaboration of the Onda Rosa APS association\, active in providing support to women affected by breast cancer: during the event\, voluntary donations will be collected to support patients who have received a breast cancer diagnosis. Additionally\, the association will be present to raise awareness among attendees about the important social issue it addresses. \nThe event\, now in its fourth edition\, follows the first three held in 2022 and 2024 in Belluno\, and in 2025 in Pieve di Cadore\, and will be an opportunity for entertainment and fun for everyone\, but also\, and above all\, an important event for solidarity\, awareness\, and information\, as well as an occasion to highlight women in general\, and in particular some notable women from Belluno who have shaped the history of society and the territory of Belluno. \nThe program: \n• 3:30 p.m.\, Piazza Cesare Battisti: Farine Fossili with “Ida Pilotto\, the Duse of pedagogy”; \n• 4:00 p.m.\, Via Andrea Brustolon (at the Monastery of Santa Fara): Se Queris with “… and migrants”; \n• 4:30 p.m.\, Via Andrea Brustolon (at “trifora”): I Comelianti with “Gerle. DESCRIPTION:The Amici del Nevegal Association presents the summer program 2026\, a calendar of ten events designed to enhance the territory through initiatives that combine nature\, culture\, well-being\, and community.  \nThe activities: \n On July 4 at 10:00 a.m. guided tour of the Botanical Garden accompanied by staff from the Carabinieri Biodiversity Department of Belluno\, offering participants the opportunity to closely learn about the natural heritage of Nevegal. \nOn July 11 at 8:30 a.m. the Plastic Free Ecological Walk will take place\, set within the context of the San Gualberto celebration and dedicated to environmental awareness. Meeting point at Piazzale Nevegal. \nOn July 26 at 3:00 p.m. it will be the turn of BICINKANA\, organized in collaboration with FIAB Belluno\, a playful-educational activity aimed at children aged 5 to 10 to promote sustainable mobility and outdoor play. Meeting point at the Playground of the Albergo Nevegal. \nOn August 1 at 8:30 p.m. the concert “I Due Golfi” will be held at the Caldart Hall\, a musical journey between Venice and Naples through voices\, guitar\, and mandolin. \nOn August 5 at 9:30 a.m.\, in Pian Longhi\, a Walking Gymnastics session will be held led by instructor Elena Auditore\, combining physical activity and contact with nature. Meeting point at Pian Longhi. \nOn August 10 at 8:30 p.m. the evening “Sottoterra. Journey through the caves of Nevegal” will be organized with the Le Solve group of CAI Belluno\, dedicated to discovering the local speleological heritage. DESCRIPTION:Free event\, registration required 12 occasions through the streets of Valbelluna to meet new faces and discover other paths. \nNot just work\, not just home. To choose a place\, more is needed: fundamental are the relationships one manages to build around oneself.  \nThis is why the TROVARSI initiative was born within the framework of the PRIMAVERA CASA project – a project aimed at reopening unused homes in Valbelluna\, to make them available to new inhabitants\, young people\, and workers.  \nMany outings to discover the territory\, to build relationships while walking. The 12 outings of TROVARSI AL SOLE are distributed both geographically (throughout Valbelluna) and temporally (the first on June 20\, the last on October 18) and are completely free\, but limited in number: therefore\, it is important to register\, from the website primaveracasa.eu or on Eventbrite (the link is https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/trovarsi-al-sole-trovarsi-allombra-4844988). \n The initiative – which in autumn will become TROVARSI ALL’OMBRA and move to the taverns of Valbelluna – is designed as a welcome for those who have recently moved here (but not only!)\, and would like to meet\, along with new places\, new people. And precisely to encourage encounters among those who do not yet know each other\, at the end or during the walks\, or rides\, convivial moments are always planned – to chat even with legs under the table\, in a shelter or in a farm\, at the bar\, in a tavern\, with a relaxing aperitif. \n The convivial moments are also covered by the PRIMAVERA CASA project. A project that\, we remind you\, has been working for several years (since September 2022)\, thanks to the support of the Cariverona Foundation\, alongside owners to reopen unused homes\, to restore them to new life and make them available to those who wish to move to live and work in Valbelluna. The project partners have been\, from the beginning\, Società Nuova\, Isoipse\, ACLI services\, and the Dolomiti Prealpi Tourist Consortium. \n The TROVARSI initiative\, in particular\, is conceived and organized by ISOIPSE\, in collaboration with the rest of the team.
