DESCRIPTION:Book presentation by Giovanni Carraro \n \nWith this volume\, Giovanni Carraro completes the long journey of exploring the Eastern Veneto Prealps\, which began in 2011 with Rediscovering the Treviso Prealps\, bringing his narrative up to the Valbelluna. \nA journey of 543 kilometers on foot through seven areas that showcase the variety and beauty of the Belluno Prealps: from the Coi de Pèra of Ponte nelle Alpi to the Nevegal – Col Visentin area\, from Limana to Trichiana\, from Mel to Lentiai up to the Piave Canal. \n50 itineraries\, some of which are unpublished\, that touch on ancient stone quarries\, mountain huts and cottages\, small churches\, waterfalls\, gorges\, and old villages\, with views ranging from the Dolomites to the plain. Each route is accompanied by Tabacco maps\, a technical table\, a QR Code for the starting point\, and downloadable GPS tracks from the Ediciclo website. Numerous cultural boxes and reports enrich the narrative with insights on history\, legends\, and local curiosities\, offering the walker an authentic way to know and understand this part of the mountain. \nThe author Giovanni Carraro was born in Pieve di Cadore in 1966 and lives in Susegana (Treviso). A hiker\, writer\, and populariser\, he is the creator of the Prosecco Hills Trail of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Among the books published with Ediciclo: Rediscovering the Treviso Prealps (2011)\, The Hidden Trails of the Treviso Prealps (2013)\, Wild Visentin (2015)\, Dolomites – a Glimpse Among the Rocks (2023)\, and Rediscovering Mount Grappa (2024). He collaborates with Telebelluno and Il Gazzettino\, is a freelance journalist\, a member of CAI\, and a F.I.E. Hiking Guide. A supporter of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation and the UNESCO MAB Monte Grappa program\, he received the Auronzo Prize 2020 and the Paul Harris Fellow recognition from Rotary in 2022. \nFree entry.

DESCRIPTION:Conference dedicated to collecting and collectors in Belluno in the nineteenth century curated by art historian Aurora Frescura. \nConference by art historian Aurora Frescura\, dedicated to collecting and collectors in Belluno in the nineteenth century. \nCivic museums almost always arise from bequests and donations from private collectors: this is also the case of the museum in Belluno\, established in 1876 around the Giampiccoli and Miari collections. \nBut even the subsequent life of the museum is nourished by works of art and historical testimonies that have passed through private collections during the nineteenth century. \nSometimes heirs of ancient noble families\, other times representatives of a new bourgeoisie\, collectors are at the center of dynamics of collection\, exchange\, and unfortunately also dispersion of works of art. \nAnd they gradually recognize in the civic museum the place capable of preserving the memory and identity of their city. \nAurora Frescura  \nA young art historian\, she studied at the Universities of Trento and Verona\, and has recently refined her skills at the School of Specialization in Historical-Artistic Heritage at the University of Udine\, with a thesis on the Belluno notebooks of Giovanni Battista Cavalcaselle. \nShe mainly focuses on the history of collecting\, and in particular has deepened the figure of the Belluno-born Antonio Agosti\, the subject of her master’s thesis and later of an essay published in the journal “MDCCC-1800” of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in 2024. \nAt the same time\, she continues her work experience in the museum field\, collaborating with the exhibition department of the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento. \nAdmission to the conference is free but reservation is required at the email address: prenotazionimuseo@comune.belluno.it.

DESCRIPTION:The first Italian road cycling marathon on a 1\,850 m city circuit \nThe 24 hours of Feltre is the only cycling marathon on the road in Italy that takes place on a completely car-free city circuit. It is a relay race with teams consisting of 12 cyclists each. \n It works like a relay: in turn\, the athletes of the team take turns pedaling for 24 hours.   There are 90 registered teams supplemented by 30 individuals\, the so-called Only One\, who ride alone for 24 hours. \n In recent years\, the event has become a real happening where champions from various sports\, music and entertainment personalities\, and famous entrepreneurs come together to pedal.  \n For a couple of years now\, the 24 hours has been a “battlefield” between the team led by actor Paolo Kessisoglu\, who supports a project for young people called “C’è da fare\,” and entrepreneur Renzo Rosso from Vicenza\, owner of Diesel\, who leads a team of famous personalities pedaling to support the projects of the OTB Foundation\, Only the Brave\, which creates solidarity shops for families in need. \n  Each lap pedaled has an economic value; the winner is the one who completes the most laps in 24 hours and thus earns a check to support their project.  \n Here in Feltre\, there are always extraordinary guests\, and we are waiting to learn about the teams and the novelties of 2026!
